The Indian students situation seems to be never ending. It is crazy that India's embassy in Ukraine was unable to convince the Indian students in that country leave by early February. US vacating their embassy there was a dead giveaway. Wonder what these people were waiting for
Russia keeping Indians hostage doesn't make sense.Ukrainians are saying the same about Russians. There seems to be a lot of propaganda being thrown. Cannot really be sure until the dust settles down

Not only India but people of other countries too are facing problems. Clearly, no one expected the situation to escalate to this level. The Indian students situation seems to be never ending. Some Indians have said in news that the Ukranian universities and the foreign student agents (from India) reassured the students that Russia will not invade. As these universities do not have online platforms, the degrees cannot be continued from India. They were waiting for the crisis to happen, so that they can launch an operation Ganga and put the twitter army to work. I know that is very cynical. Ok, even if it wasn't deliberate, that is how we operate in India. Even in businesses. Allow situation to reach a crisis level and then paradrop a superhero for rescue

Wonder why no one is talking about this and brushing it under the carpet. The biggest hostages are Ukrainian males between 18 to 60 who are being forced by the Ukrainian government to stay and die.
It will be quite distressing for students and their families who pour in all their finances to cover their education. Now suddenly in the middle of the degree, you have to leave the country with no clue as to what to do next: to enroll in a new degree in India/other countries or to hope for the invasion to stop. Some Indians have said in news that the Ukranian universities and the foreign student agents (from India) reassured the students that Russia will not invade. It is appalling to me that Indian embassy did not put its foot down and barred the students from staying in Ukraine any longer.
possible, Chechens are part of the invasion force in major numbers and they are commanding their own operations with their own generalsI don't find it entirely unbelievable. The Russians are not a homogenous unit. Apparently there are pro Russian militias fighting alongside the army regulars. These chaps can act pretty randomly and brutally. But lets wait for more information. It is getting cloudier with every passing day.

These guys are Kadirovs personal militia or fighter - Kadirov is the same guy asking Putin to do a "proper" bombing campaign on Ukrainians or he thinks Putin is way too soft and he needs to grow a pair
He used these guys to round up and torture gays, pork eaters, and drunkards
and Chechans themselves are involved in every insurgency ever fought for last 20-30 years - there are Chechens in Africa fighting for some random outfits!
Now with this record they are not exactly a nice or professional fighting force, I am sure if Putin let em lose they'll commit war crimes
So its not exactly weird for these loose militias of neo-nazis or just Russians nationalists in separatist areas fighting for Russia or Chechens with their own commands acting unprofessionally
