Russian Navy Positions Itself Off the Coast of Latakia

The Russian Air Force is busy carrying out numerous airstrikes around Syria, leaving certain areas vulnerable to attacks from the Islamist rebels of both the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS); this has created the need for the Russian Navy to intervene in this Syrian Conflict for the first time since they arrived in Tartous.

Recently, the Russian Navy has positioned three naval vessels off the coast of Latakia in anticipation for their massive cruise missile assault that is likely to occur in the coming days, as the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies inch closer to the Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) controlled Al-Ghaab Plains of the Hama Governorate.

The Russian Navy will play an imperative role against the Islamist rebel forces, as they prepare to bombard numerous sites in Syria’s western countryside that they deem a threat to the sovereignty of the country and the Syrian Armed Forces protecting Syria from the numerous factions of Islamist rebels threatening their control around the country.

According to a Syrian Army source in Latakia, the Russian naval vessels can be seen from the shores of the aforementioned provincial capital; this was confirmed by more than one source in the province – the source added that the Russian Navy has prepared their long range cruise missiles to be fired into the country from the Mediterranean Sea

Russian economy is not as fragile as people think. It is now expected to contract by only 3-4 per cent this year and should start growing again next year.

The war in Syria should not place too much of a burden on the Russian economy as we are only looking at the deployment of a small naval fleet and a few dozen combat aircraft.

Actually ,it has exited the Houston Agreement with the dedollarization policy. That in itself frees it from several constraints that Houston Agreement created upon it. The genocide of Donbass by NATO actually freed Putin's hands from the pro-oiligarch ,pro-west lobby in Russia like the Gazprom lobby,Lukoil lobby and the Usmanov lobby. The sanctions imposed by the west

Do you know how the pro-west lobbies lost their power and clout in Russia ? By the sanctions on Russia . Before the sanctions ,Putin's hands were tied so Putin did nothing and appeased the pro-west lobbies. Now with the US attacking the wealth of the pro-west lobbies,it infuriated them to no bounds and they have turned to dedollarization lol. If Putin had taken the western bait and invaded ukraine (with exception of crimea),the Western bankers would have taken him out of power via the Gazprom lobby. But all backfired lol when Putin did not take the bait.

These days usmanov does not even fly his Bourkhan A340 private jet because he fears that NSA has it bugged or could crash it by hacking it.

West did a lot of damage to its credibility and has shot itself strongly in the foot . Totally ruined its bargaining power vis-a vs Russia.
