Older jets? MiG-29 and Su-27 1980s jets are much newer than F-16 and F-15 1970s jets. Su-35 / 30 / 34 2010s jets are much newer than F-22 2000s jets. MiG-29K 2010s jets are much newer than F-18E 2000s jets.

Upgraded i would like to say @undertakerwwefan F-16/F-15 are heavily upgraded in recent time Massively with AESA top notch avionics etc etc as compare with their Russian counterparts Su-27/Mig-29 @undertakerwwefan

Su-27 is upgraded to Su-27SM3 and MiG-29 is upgraded to MiG-29SMT. Not all American jets have AESA. In fact, none of America's 1000+ F-16 have AESA. America does not have any F-16E/V which have AESA.

they were battle tested in Iraq/Iran , 1991 gulf war against allied forces, Yugoslavian war against NATO and USAF @hoangsa74 if you talking about Su-27 series of jets then you're right @hoangsa74
