The news is being grossly misinterpreted. Nowhere did any Russian official mention the word "US". An "unnamed" intelligence official said "We are investigating the theory that it was industrial sabotage" (without naming any country).

Looks like a sensational story to increase ratings.

You forget the Krasnopol 155mm semi-active laser-guided projectiles. The India blame Russia selling them defective rounds. After investigation by Russia, the Indian improper storage of the rounds is the reason for the rounds to be defective.
