Admit that the US and EU fucked up with them. That they should have stood up for them. Convince your fellow American and Europeans funding and supporting Ukraine to match that effort and anger when it comes to Palestine and Kashmir - or is there an expiration date for your morality and empathy?

The voting public in the US or EU don’t care about Palestine or Kashmir. They do about Ukraine, it’s a conflict the outcome of which could very well change the security paradigm for Western Europe. Americans care about Western Europe they don’t care about Palestine or Kashmir or Xinjiang or Sudan.

Besides in the grand scheme of things Putin has presented the West with a once in a lifetime opportunity to take Russia out of the geopolitical chess board. Instead of drip feeding weapons the West could surge devastating weapons to end the conflict in a few weeks. But the West doesn’t want Russia to fail too fast in Ukraine and unravel. The consequence of western policy of graduated escalation is avoidable casualties on both sides.

Palestine can’t win politicians the next election, if it could you’d see affirmative action and not apathy.

Just because I am pointing out a flaw in your 'jewish state not supporting a jew' is not an endorsement that this moral fight is better than other moral issues. If this thread was titled 'injustices in the world', I would be glad to partake in it.

But this is about Ukraine and Russian invasion, and mostly military topics on the war. Members can't but help sometimes get into the moral rights/wrongs as it comes to the war, but lets put the morality aside and look it as a military op.

The list of injustices goes on, and there is a double standard: supplying guided munition to Saudis to attack Yemen, or GCC and other selling turning their back to Palestenians and normalize relations.

I’ve seen horrific videos and images of children mutilated and massacred by Israeli and Indian soldiers.

There are documented reports of Allied soldiers raping children in Iraq and Afghanistan and massacring entire families.

There is more than enough propaganda with appeals to emotion and morality in the media (and I get that propaganda is part and parcel of war and geo-politics), and I and many others are just completely jaded by it all, given the blatant hypocrisy on display, so, again, let this thread be limited to objective discussions about developments in the war.

What the Russian did is systematic. Every warcrimes the Russian committed are sanctioned by the state. It's not like some rando doing some bad things.

Sexual violence in the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been committed by Armed Forces of Russia, including the use of mass rape as a weapon of war. According to the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine, the victims of sexual assault by Russian soldiers ranged from 4 years old to over 80 years old.[1]

The United Nations Human Rights High Commissioner issued a report on human rights violations and war crimes in October 2022; in the opening summary section, it stated, "Furthermore, the Commission documented patterns of summary executions, unlawful confinement, torture, ill-treatment, and rape and other sexual violence committed in areas occupied by Russian armed forces across the four provinces on which it focused. People have been detained, some have been unlawfully deported to the Russian Federation, and many are still reported missing. Sexual violence has affected victims of all ages. Victims, including children, were sometimes forced to witness the crimes. Children have become the victims of the full spectrum of violations investigated by the Commission, including indiscriminate attacks, torture and rape, and have suffered the predictable psychological consequences."[2]

No Patriots have been destroyed, and they’ve proven exceptional against Russian cruise and ballistic missiles and aircraft. Kyiv has turned into a fortress because of them, which is why Russia has increased attacks on other Ukrainian cities.

Patriots should NEVER get a bad rep after their performance in Kyiv. Patriot has made it so inefficient for the Russians to attack Kyiv they’ve essentially given up and moved on to other Ukrainian cities.
