You just copied and pasted the Wiki reference page. No where does it say that those references agree that the 'South Korean divisions collapsed'. If you look through some of those sources you would actually see that many of them have nothing to do with your claim, unless aircraft losses, or anti-Americanism, or psychological warfare relate to South Korean divisions collapsing.

I'm sure you've read history as well. South Korean performance was generally regarded as abysmal against both North Koreans and Chinese. Without US support they wouldn't have survived the initial invasion by the NK.

Not simply influence but direct control. The South Korean military is run from the top by US commanders until maybe 2012. That might not be the case as it has been extended before.

So South Korea has to spend all its budget to buy T-50, so it won't have the budget to buy more F-35. The US military industry won't accept that.

If it only buys few T-50 in order to touch it, then Russia won't accept it either.

While the South Koreans themselves are not much of a concern to China the US control of their forces are. US has access to countless satellites, and other military assets that could change outcomes in conflict.

Koreans however should realize that the only reason we actually give them a second glance is due to US presence, and nothing else.

The Koreans are funny people, they always act as China owes them money or steals their properties.

Check their comments about the oil spill in Bohai Sea of this year. According to them, we are stealing their oil fields.

You are point wrong there.. Except Pakistan, we don't have as big issues with Bangladesh, Nepal, Srilanka as you have with Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Philippines etc. In fact in case of Nepal we have open borders and only concern India has are the Maoists there. Srilanka, the only issue was due to their suppression of Tamils and we are seeing improvement there. Bangladesh- again no major issues and we have a friendly govt there as of now..

So please don't compare..

I wonder what the Japanese thought of the Chinese when they took over Manchuria. FYI...The South Koreans were quite feared in Viet Nam by both the North Vietnamese and the Chinese.
