The Brits should have never taught russians how to make tanks , they make a mockery of everything

Again, why do you keep dodging the facts and changing the subject? You are running away with your tail between your legs

Again, prove where the T-14 is a copy of the Merkava. Try to make it a real debate with facts, don't change the subject.

War games: Russia reveals its latest tank is controlled by a PLAYSTATION controller
  • Yet for many in Russia's military, controlling the Kurganets-25 will be easy.

Rather than a traditional steering wheel, it uses a controller based on Sony's Playstation gamepad.

I can't believe someone would be stupid enough to write such a troll article and i can't believe anyone would actually post this crap, especially from the Daily Fail.

Where is the playstation controller?

Isn't he the crewman who mistakenly brought his Xbox controller instead of the PS controller?
And then he pushed something unexpectedly which made the tank grind to a halt at the Red square leaving puzzled engineers red-faced.Then subsequently a technician figured out the mistake that one of the crew member had a wrong controller. And he pressed a wrong button at a very wrong time.
Not his fault : not everyone is supposed to know the difference, you know.

No, look at post 3. I am waiting for all the Altay fanboys to flood this thread or post in the Altay thread about this fake story.

Some butthurts want to find the cure for their butthurtness.I am afraid what they are going to do after next generation of Armata with 155 mm gun is unveiled.

This is typical when people are jealous and envious. I have heard it all, everything from the T-14 is a copy of the Merkava to it's a copy of the Abrams, to it can't even drive up a flatbed truck and now that it has playstation controllers. Next week i can rest assured that there will be some other wild claims, whatever makes insecure people sleep good at night.

Chill man, loosen up.Those who deal and read about the military hardware know all about how it's developed and with time gets matured.
Obviously they will experiment with the Armata combat platform in multiple configurations.... it's not a finished product and it shall undergo more baking to taste good.Any realistic discussion that can happen now will be just based on the Russian sources. Why even bother about the rest?

even if it does use a controller, so what? plenty of drones and such uses game controllers, its cheap, it can be tough, and it works.

What's the deal of using Game Console controller? The British use Xbox controller to control UAV, the US use them to control bomb diffusion robot and recon drone. I don't see why not.

Plus, I will probably go for Xbox controller than playstation, at least you get more grip

Actually, it is possible, the US and the UK already been using Xbox controller for various military application, but I doubt that will be the case in Russia, I don't think PlayStation would allow their product used with Military application. Pretty sure that was not allowed by ITAR

On the other hand, US Air Force build their supercomputer from playstation 3 heh

US Air Force connects 1,760 PlayStation 3's to build supercomputer

am pretty sure they liked the Xbox controller more but it's american
