Yes they can. that's why india was so upset at russia & france last year for not vetoing her humiliation.

There was a time around 40 years back...... all big players were supporting to Pakistan on Kashmir expect Soviet but still Pakistan was unable to take the advantage.

Now, Pakistan is only ave one supporter (China) and it is very tough for them to get anything from UN.

Moral on the story- Nothing was happened and Nothing will happen. Drama will be continued.... like 'Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gum'

I don't know if you have been paying attention, but it has been almost half a year since August 5th, and what exactly has China done? Nothing. There haven't even been any border incursions. The only thing China has done is take symbolic actions in the UNSC knowing they will fail, and lo and behold, Pakistan and China got isolated in the UNSC not once, nor twice, but thrice.

And have you heard Ajit Doval and and Wang Yi recently held high-level border talks? That includes Ladakh. What will eventually happen is India will cede claims to Aksai Chin, and China will cede claims to Arunachal.

And its not like China is willing or able to do anything. Doklam and the recent incident when the Indian Navy intercepted a PLAN survey vessel show that. Not to mention China is facing issues on multiple fronts. Hong Kong has been boiling for almost a year, the world is condemning it over Xinjiang, and China has issues with multiple countries in the SCS. And now they may have a biological crisis on their hands as well.

So if China is your get out of jail card, India doesn't really have anything to fear.

Oh and as for Kashmir, despite Pulwama there were a record low deaths to security forces due to terrorism in 2019. That trend will continue this year.

As I said before, deaths due to terrorism were a record low in 2019, despite being skewed by Pulwama. As for Pulwama, we got the culprit internationally blacklisted by the UNSC.

I would worry more about Pakistan's terrorism problem, because going by Pakistan's own government statistics on security forces killed due to militancy, more Pakistani soldiers died than Indians.

If I am not mistaken, Pakistan believes Shimla and Lahore are dead. Pakistan also believes it is an issue requiring international mediation, which is what IK spent his time at Davos asking for.

The Pakistani Gov's own actions indicate that it does not view Kashmir as bilateral.

Think twice or read the truth from International sources not a Pakistani, correctly.

Pakistan army and other called mujahideen even reached to near Kashmir. Indian army was not there in Kashmir.

Once agreement signed, then Indian army entered to Kashmir and now see who was able to get control. India was controlling 70% of Kashmir land and Pakistan only around 30. (India lost some part Kashmir in 1962 to China but not in 1948).

Now you have to decide, who lost the war?
