Russia may put missiles in Kaliningrad if US upgrades nuclear arms in Germany: Report | Zee News

Moscow: Russia may deploy Iskander ballistic missiles to its enclave of Kaliningrad if the United States upgrades its nuclear weapons in Germany, the Interfax news agency cited a military source as saying on Wednesday.

"A final decision well be taken after detailed analysis of the potential threat," the agency cited the source as saying.

Russia pledges counter measures if U.S. upgrades nuclear arms in Germany | Reuters

Wed Sep 23, 2015 6:12am EDT

Russia would be forced to take counter measures to restore the balance of power in Europe if media reports that the United States plans to upgrade its nuclear presence in Germany are true, President Vladimir Putin's spokesman said on Wednesday.

The spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, was commenting after Germany's ZDF TV Channel reported that the United States intended to place 20 B61-12 nuclear bombs at the Büchel Air Base later this year.

"This could alter the balance of power in Europe," Peskov told reporters. "And without doubt it would demand that Russia take necessary counter measures to restore the strategic balance and parity."

Russia reportedly moving nuclear-capable missiles into Kaliningrad - Reuters

A possible show of strength from Moscow, a US intel official said

Russia is moving nuclear-capable missiles into Kaliningrad, a tiny Russian enclave sitting between Poland and Lithuania, a U.S. intelligence official said Friday, confirming recent Estonian news reports.

Russia's reasons for shipping the 500-kilometer-range Iskander-M missiles to Kaliningrad "could be innocuous," said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

'They moved a similar missile system to Kaliningrad in 2014 for a military exercise. It could also be a political gesture - a show of strength - to express displeasure with NATO,' said the official.

Russia has repeatedly said it will respond to a challenge that 'NATO eastern expansion' represents.

Indian claims are like their Bollywood scripts, you should enjoy them as pure form of comedy in this world of wars. Entertainment reduces blood pressure and prevents many threats to good health. This is the way I take it, they are the famous Three Stooges in this subcontinent. The only thing is even those three stooges never posed under or behind a cow to drink fresh cowwa cola.

The Russian command plans to deploy new advanced space-air weapons in its western military regions, including S-400 anti-aircraft systems and The Iskander ballistic missile systems in the Kaliningrad region, the country's parliamentary defence and security committee chairman Victor Ozerov claimed, the UNIAN agency reports.

The new additional forces will be deployed in the capacity of response to the probable deployment of the U.S. anti-missile shields in Europe, the official also said. Besides, new combat units are to be formed in the western and southern military regions of Russia.

"Also, we don't suppress the fact that we're advancing our air forces and developing new modern configurations of the ground-to-air and air-to-ground systems able to overpass the U.S. and European defence," the Russian official said.

Russia is constantly keeping tabs on the NATO activity in Europe and "ready to react", Ozerov also stressed.

In October, Russia has deployed new Iskander missile systems able to bear nuclear warheads in its western region of Kaliningrad.

Whereas the Nordic countries Norway, Sweden and Denmark have all voiced concern about the deployment of the Russian Iskander-M mobile missile complexes in Kaliningrad, Finnish Defense Minister Jussi Niinistö begged to differ.

By his own admission, Jussi Niinistö of the right-wing populist Finns Party, does not consider the Russian missiles in the Baltic Region as a threat. At the same time Niinistö conceded that the "negative spiral" could lead to "certain, albeit random" actions, Finnish TV channel MTV3 reported.

Niinistö made it clear that he does not see any dangers stemming from Russia, nor does he see any tendencies from the Russian leadership to threaten Helsinki. In his recent interview, Niinistö also reminded that Finland, in its capacity as an EU member state, is obliged to help its peers, yet is also entitled to receive help in times of crisis. Incidentally, a recent poll by Finnish newspaper Aamulehti showed that only one in four Finns actually believed that their country could be drawn into a possible war.

Furthermore, only 10 percent of Finns were reported to believe that the Finnish army would engage in military operations in the ensuing decade. At the same time, many expressed the viewpoint that future conflicts would break out over the lack of water and food, rather than the stereotypical "Russian aggression," which is being constantly hyped up by the media.

At the same time, former Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja warned Finnish media against adopting a too harsh tone, since it was potentially fraught with conflicts.

"In the same way as hate speech is a short step from anger to action, war rhetoric is a short distance to military conflicts," Erkki Tuomioja said, as quoted by Finnish newspaper Savon Sanomat. Previously, the relocation of Iskander-M missiles to Russia's Baltic enclave Kaliningrad Region threw the Baltic states and parts of Scandinavia into a panic. The Baltic countries have repeatedly accused Moscow of trying to aggravate the situation in the region. In contrast, the Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov indicated that Moscow had the right to take all the necessary measures in response to the "aggressive" expansion of NATO towards its borders.

Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov ventured that all current threats to the European security are the result of the US military policy over the past decade, reminding of the deployment of US missile defense systems in Poland and Romania, as well as the upcoming deployments of NATO's fighting units to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland.

NATO states in the Baltics recently expressed their agitation with Russia for placing Iskander nuclear-capable missiles in the enclave of Kaliningrad, that borders Poland. While this isn't the first time Russia has deployed the destabilizing missiles to Europe, Dr. Jeffrey Lewis, founding publisher of Arms Control Wonk, a blog on nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation, says this time is different.

Through a "crowdsourcing experiment" on Geo4nonpro.org, Lewis and his colleagues have been examining satellite imagery of Kaliningrad. According to Lewis, the results are disturbing.

Instead of a routine deployment with routine drills, Lewis sees the Russians "knocking buildings down like crazy and building new buildings," in what he considers an attempt to permanently house the nuclear-capable missiles in Europe.

"I think construction at the missile base is consistent with permanent deployment. We found the missile base using Russian social media and found the training area. Every time there are reports that there’s an exercise we go take a look at the missile base," said Lewis of his methodology.

The military bases in Kaliningrad seem to be undergoing a change to accommodate the missiles and vehicles that accompany them.

The Russians are "probably not there yet, but absolutely making changes consistent with the imminent deployment of the Iskanders," said Lewis.

"From Kaliningrad, a couple hundred kilometer range ground launched cruise missile can really get into Western Europe," said Lewis.

And because Kaliningrad belongs to Russia, there is little the international community can do to stop Russia from placing its missiles there.

Operation #Anakonda16 and NATO Summit in Poland: Direct Threat to Russia
JUL 9

Posted by Lada Ray

#Anakonda16 (just picture such name’s implications!)

Entitled Anakonda, in June 2016 the largest ever NATO military training exercise took place in Poland. NATO talking heads still lie about the ‘defensive nature of the alliance’ and that ‘BMD bases in Europe are directed against Iran and North Korea’ – claims that only the most naive or sold-out still take seriously. But in real terms NATO, US and EU have stopped pretending.

Anakonda-16 NATO exercises took place next to the Russian border and their theme was the war against Russia.

This is a video of the Anakonda military training exercise posted on the official NATO YouTube channel:

Poland flexes its military muscle during Exercise Anakonda 2016′ (Note that they actually pretend like Poland was the ‘leader’ and ‘mastermind’ of the whole thing.)

‘Exercise Anakonda, led by the Polish Armed Forces, is a large-scale military training exercise involving 24 NATO and partner countries. For more than 10 days, 31,000 troops, backed by large numbers of vehicles, aircraft and ships are training together. The aim is to exercise and test the interoperability of the Polish Armed Forces with other participating nations.’

It’s interesting to note the comments under this video, which incidentally as of today has 246 likes and only 20 dislikes (kinda makes you wonder how few are actually awake out there).

Comments under video (All big fans of NATO and not a single critical comment!):

Im from Virginia where we give more troops to the US Armed forces than California and Texas do (individually). It is nice to see allies ready to kick *** in a moments notice. I love NATO. Rusland once a nation to fear, now a nation to pity. LOL.

NATO summit in Poland

Following the Anakonda military training exercise, yesterday, a much trumpeted NATO Summit began in Poland as well. Accompanied by the ecstatic grins and enthralled nods of the Polish defence minister sitting next to him, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that the alliance is creating four new battalions to be permanently stationed in Poland and the Baltics (1 per country) on the border with Russia, in order to ‘protect the eastern members of the alliance from Russian aggression.’

On the video below you can see snippets of the July 2016 Polish NATO summit. Check out Polish minister’s happy grins: he’s practically basking in the rare spotlight, which strokes his (and his country’s) ego – and that’s how they buy them. Obama at the summit chatting with Cameron, Stoltenberg’s announcement, and more in this news video:

Happy smiles aside, the Polish NATO summit’s primary objectives are: how to militarize Europe, how to keep the alliance expanding and how to attack Russia. All this is thinly camouflaged with the talk of ‘Russian aggression.’

What Russian aggression?

So far, it’s been NATO that has been encroaching on Russian borders and threatening Russian security. The newly opened BMD base in Romania and the upcoming one in Poland, attempts to drag Ukraine and Georgia into NATO, dangerous provocations against Russian ships and planes in Black Sea, Mediterranean and Baltic by the American and NATO military… As one example, recently NATO jets deliberately came too close, surrounding in dangerous proximity the plane of the Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu and forcing Russian jets to intervene for protection.

Happy like a child who just received a new toy, Polish defence minister announced that one battalion ‘will be sufficient against Russia’ until the main NATO forces arrive to protect Poland against Russian aggression. The NATO Secretary General echoed by saying that NATO will protect ‘its eastern members against Russian aggression.’ Meanwhile across the big pond, US General Breedlove (and others just like him) is publicly professing the need to attack Russia.

The instigator and the driving force behind this conflict escalation is, as usual, the United States of America. Just to refresh everyone’s memory, let’s check where Russia is located relative to the Baltics, Black Sea and Mediterranean, and where US is situated relative to the same areas.

What is US doing half across the globe, in the seas it has nothing to do with?

WHO IS THE AGGRESSOR?

******NOTE: Both the article’s top map ‘Russia wants war: look how close they put their country to our military bases’ and this map of ‘US bases near Russia’ have been found on the internet. They both have one mistake: there never was a US military base in Kazakhstan. However, there was a US Manas military base near Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, which has been closed since 2014 after Kyrgyz government sent US packing. The rest of the info is accurate enough and provides the general understanding of the situation. Actually, in some areas there are more US bases than shown.******

This brand new video from RT summarizes the facts of the escalating NATO aggression against Russia:

NATO meets in Poland to show firm stance against ‘resurgent Russia,’ but something doesn’t add up

MORE FROM RT: What the troop balance on Russia’s northwest border will REALLY look like – READ MORE http://on.rt.com/7i8v

In the situation when NATO relentlessly encircles Russia with bases and insists on provoking WWIII, Russia has prepared a response. The response is unexpected and much stronger than either NATO or US might have anticipated.

Many of you have watched/read my Earth Shift Report 4: ALIEN TECHNOLOGY & NEW RUSSIAN WEAPONS. In it we talked about the electronic 4th-dimensional warfare of the future.

This is something very different, originally developed in the Soviet Union, and it’s being brought to light in response to the expanding NATO threats Russia is facing. I am preparing a new surprise Earth Shift Report, which will showcase the new secret Russian weapon and discuss what it means for the future.

Stay tuned!

Americans are great people. Why be so jealous??

Cold war is the real reason behind all these deployments.

But its disappointing to see that United States of America is letting grave human rights violations in EU nations.
