Russia is re-drawing Europe's borders. Copycat bullies may also start wars

hypocrisy at its best... the west and the US invade nations, destroy them, steal their oil and resources, and it is all done for "freedom" and "democracy"... Crimea joins Russia, the whole world goes crazy.. Russia has to end this and put an end to the double standard of the west...
I saved this comment. When parts of Syria decide to join Turkey again. I will push this comment in your face ;)

Russia is re-drawing Europe's borders, worrying for Baltic states - EU's Dombrovskis
LONDON Thu Feb 19, 2015 10:17am EST

Feb 19 (Reuters) - Russia is redrawing the map of Europe by force and a stronger NATO presence is needed on its borders, Valdis Dombrovskis, vice president of the European Commission said on Thursday.

"Russia's aggression against Ukraine is very worrying for Baltic states," Dombrovskis, the former prime minister of Latvia told an event organised in London.

"It shows that Russia is looking to redraw Europe's 21st century borders by force, and it must be noted that Ukraine is not the first country to face Russia's aggression."

Dombrovskis said it was important to have a stronger NATO presence in the Baltic states, and that was already happening. The Baltic states include Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
NATO should deploy its forces there in EU and ex-Soviet countries to throw away Russian smelly bears.

Why would Syrians join Turkey? Turkey is not an Arab country.

Russia and China has also bordering regions with different ethnic origins. Turkey and create protected regions with Kurdish and Turkmen regions.

Same way Arabic Hatay province joined Turkey.

Hatay Province - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reading the comment of Syrian lion, I understand he stands behind this democratic annexation of Hatay province.
Lol that wasnt Democratic it was French Turkish treaty and Syrians had nothing to do with it...at least you admit that it is Syrian land

So do you support Crimea joining Russia?

Maybe you are an artificial country and there was never a country called Syria. Hatay chose just like how Crimea chose. You respect the decision of Hatay people right? That is what I got when I read your comment. You are somebody who supports democracy and free will.

Go ask Hatay people :) Hatay people are Arabs and they chose to be annexed in a referendum by us. There was no Syria in the treaty because you didn't exist . But somebody like you supports democracy right? You said Crimea had the right to democratically join Russia. I saved this comment on my PC. I think we are starting to agree with each other.

From your own link you gave

In 1939 (June 29), following a popularreferendum, Hatay became a Turkish province. This referendum has been labelled both "phoney" and "rigged", and a way for the French to let Turks take over the area, hoping that they would turn on Hitler.[7][8] For the referendum, Turkey crossed tens of thousands of Turks into Alexandretta to vote.

And

After World War I and the Turkish War of Independence, the Ottoman Empire was disbanded and the modern Republic of Turkeywas created, and Alexandretta was not part of the new republic, it was put within the French mandate of Syria after a signed agreement between the Allies and Turkey, the Treaty of Sèvres, which was neither ratified by theOttoman parliament nor by the Turkish National Movement in Ankara.[3] The subsequent Treaty of Lausanne also put Alexandretta within Syria. The document detailing the boundary between Turkey and Syria around 1920 and subsequent years is presented in a report by the Official Geographer of The Bureau of Intelligence and Research of the US Department of State.[4] A French-Turkish treaty of 20 October 1921 rendered the Sanjak of Alexandretta autonomous, and remained so from 1921 to 1923. As well as Turks the population of the Sanjak included: Arabs of various religious denominations (Sunni Muslims, Alawites,Greek Orthodox); Greek Catholics, Syriac-Maronites; Jews; Syriacs; Kurds; andArmenians. In 1923 Hatay was attached to theState of Aleppo, and in 1925 it was directly attached to the French mandate of Syria, still with special administrative status.

It is bullshit what French say. There was a referendum and they have spoken. Hatay are ancient people of that region. The people of Hatay are our people and belong with the nation. Go ask every person from Hatay and they will give the same answer. Are you agains this freedom and democracy? Hmm, weird from somebody who said this:
