Russia deploys MiG-29SMT combat jets and S-400 long range SAM in Libya to secure the oil

Why does Russia need to secure more oil when it already has a massive oversupply itself? Russia produces more oil than it would ever hope to consume in a hundred years.

I think Russia wants nore access to Warm water ports. They have access to Syria now its Libya.

Modern day colonial carve up of arab oil from Iraq to Libya.

when will these idiots wake up and protect there own arab resources.

The ease they bring in , Russians , French , USA , Iran to bomb there fellow Arabs. Is sickening

What can we say, they talk Arab brotherhood but it’s very far from realty. Look at what they did to their own in Yemen. Since WWI Arabs have shot themselves in the foot and got taken down and took the rest of us down with them. I honestly do not see them recovering from these self inflicted wounds until the very end.

Turkey does not have the strategic capabilities to fight one on one with Russia. It does not need such a challenge also, according to geopolitical interests of the country. However, Turkey is the only Nato country which is actively competing against Russian expansionism with its formal military force in every field. So stop blaming the Turkey.

Russia is currently trying to activate the S300 system in Libya. It will soon announce A2AD by bringing anti-ship batteries. Whose interests bruising in South Europe and Mediterranean corridor because of Russia settle in Libya: this situation must be those' problem.

While Russia piercing NATO's defence concept from the south, shouldnt it a priority to question France's strategic mistake? Rather than blaming TR.

russia should take care of s400 as turkish drones if able to destroy it will cost heavily to them and will damage its reputation
The russian SAM reputation (ie last model, performance not reduced for export, and with perfectly trained crew) is such that I think the non stealthy turkish drones will be in high trouble.

Novorossiysk is the largest Russian warm water port in the Black Sea but it's enclosed by the Bosporous. Syria and Libya are not restricted by the Bosporous.

Russia and NATO have pretty close relations. Greece is the top European country and it's pretty much a pawn of Russia at this point.

So basically sirte and cufra wont be taken due to the Russians.

They have red line too according to some Forbes article.

Turkey allowed Wagner aka the Russians to withdraw rather than wiping them out when they had the chance with the siege of tripoli was broken. Turkey is appeasing Russia by this point

Another missed opportunity. Russia is expanding same with China.

Only thing NATO is doing is standing by doing nothing because what matters is individual interests of each country. Everybody is out there for their piece.

TR has other issues in the Black Sea, Syria and the Caucasus with Russia. It is understood that Russia has clearly a party in Libya now. Actually this is not a complete bad thing for Turkey. Because every move of weighted state such Russia produces many side effects. If TR takes its steps in the correct order, surely will keep its gains.

Leave them alone with their brand new problems whose security and geopolitical doctrines will threaten by Russian assets and A2AD capacity at EU's south border.
