The RAF has a very bizzare arrangment for these A330 MRTTs, they do no actually own the aircraft themselves, rather a private company, AirTanker, does and they lease these aircraft to the RAF on a need basis. AirTanker also lease the very same fleet out to third parties when so contacted.
