I suggest they produce bikes for niche market sectors in South East Asia (ASEAN) first and export them there. Cost would be lower than any ASEAN country.

United Motors is a brand more than an actual company. Their main market was South America in the past twenty years. They have recently started expansion in South Asia.

For India they are like F-16 dude.

Here's the TVS 50cc moped in wide use....aah the sights (and smells) of India.....

Awww - look at the scaredy cat kids!! Poor things!

And you can't really compete with the TVS Super heavy duty XL model. This thing has foldable pedals to use just in case the owner is not in the (ahem) 'spendy' mood.

Soft power projection into the real BD for the BeeDee butthurts to cry about:

Salivating over Dadaji's products...is it a surprise how hooked BD women are to Indian TV?

Thanks for continuing the massive trade deficit BD no matter what your butthurt BeeDees cry about here.

I have noticed that Thailand market mostly uses 100 to 125 cc bikes. In any case that story above did mention that export-market bikes would not have the 155cc restriction we have internally.

I was looking for ASEAN bike market displacement-category data but could not find it.

at peaks in 2008/9 had reach 9 million a year, right now many vendor geared toward quality built and the number settle at 5 to 6 million units a year.

Of this 5 - 6 million, how many are exported?

It seems India and Indonesia are in relatively the same broad market phase for 2 wheelers....but India is still on its peak production cusp (about 16 - 17 million unit production, 6 - 7 million exports) and could probably increase for some more time even.

according to our ministry of industry data, export in 2016 is only 300 thousands, most of them going toward European and Japan market (high quality scooter, vespa and such)
