This robot main purpose is not to win the war campaign. (There are many factors to win a war campaign, and thats another duscussion)



This robot purpose is to minimize the casualties rate in your troops.

Let say in a battle, your troops successfully kill 100 of this robot with 100 loses troops in your side.
But still, thats a defeat for you.
Because tomorrow they can produce another 1,000 to overcame the losses in yesterday battle.
Meanwhile you need at least 6 months to give basic training only, to your new recruits for them to be ready to deploy in frontline combat.
Unless your troops doesn't need training, because you are typical commander who love human wave soviet style tactic in WW2

I beg to differ. They're not replacing. They're supporting. There are so many things that human's work that these robots can't do, but at least they can lower the risk that human soldier must take in a battlefield.

the problem with such robots is that if adversaries are able to displace them with their tires being trapped they will become useless as they will not be able to correct their position like human soldier who can jump, run and take cover

Only a stupid commander will deploy these robots alone. A sane commander will always cover these robots with other elements; whenever they're human soldiers, armor, apc, helicopter, etc, from behind. And sure, you can trap this robot with anything. From conventional but primitive trap to explosive land mines, or simply throw a fragmented grenade to it. But that's exactly the purpose of why this robot is in the front lines. To reduce human casualty. It is better if you target these robots than those human soldiers who hide behind.

There will be a need for human soldiers for a long while yet. Even if these UGVs seem active combat, they'll be there to help actual soldiers on the ground, not replace them.

I think what @beijingwalker mean of replacing.
Is not replacing all human soldier, but replacing human soldier for High risk mission & task to this Robot Army.

With this robot in Urban combat, you can clear dangerous narrow alley, roads or intersection suspected if IED planted bombs, open field, building full of enemy, manned dangerous checkpoint (suspectible to ambush & sniper attack) in frontline with this kind of Robot instead using Human soldier.

This robot definetly will save thousands of human troops lives
