‘Rip open the skies!’ Israeli agriculture minister calls for mass prayer to end drought

Your feelings and aspirations are highly appreciable. May the Almighty hastens the era prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah. But today's reality is that extremists in your country, in their apocalyptic zeal, are determined more than ever on demolishing the Islamic Shrine on the temple mount and rebuilding the third Beit HaMiqdash. And when that happens, we know what would follow i.e. the prophesy of Zechariah 14:14 would definitely come true. So for the peace in the region, it is imperative to control the extremist on both sides, but more so on the Jewish end, as they have the power and unrelenting zeal to bring the Armageddon much sooner than later. Peace.

Hi Maverick

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

How is it that you know Zechariah 14:14 ? i am impressed.
Here is another one from Zechariah :

" On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. "

Zechariah 12:3

This was written 2500 years ago , before the crusaders and before today's events. I agree with you that those who want to rebuild the temple are a bunch of nutters that fail to understand their own religion.

Who exactly can build the temple ? There are no living prophets walking amongst us and without them no one with knowledge to take on such a task. A jew according to most religious scholars is not even allowed to set foot on the temple mount so how exactly can they rebuilt something there ?

I know that solving this conflict is a hard thing to do but i think that the reward for it would be great. The harder the task is the sweeter the reward ...

I believe that solving this conflict would send a good vib throughout the region at a time when there is so much hate and blood shed going on .May it echo all over the world and send a positive massage by setting a good example.

Peace

Thanks for the compliment. How I know about Zechariah, well just by some casual reading of Tanakh (I have a JPS edition at home) and listening to Rabbis. The thing is that as per Islamic belief, the prophesied jewish Messiah was Jesus, may peace be upon him. Its another matter that the Jewish religious establishment did not hearken to his call and rejected him, while gentile converts made him into a deity in the later centuries. The message of Islam called for a middle way, as the Evionim had believed during the end of second temple era, that Messiah was a human and a prophet from HaShem and not divine in any way or form. Also, Islam in my opinion universalized the Jewish message (as per the will of Almighty) for all mankind.

Anyways, the Islamic message is that Jesus the prophet and the Jewish Messiah, will return to establish the just rule and the prophesies of the Prophets in Tanakh will be fulfilled this time. May be peace reigns over the holy land and the whole world.

man i dont know this but how come every religion has this coming of God and ending of all the bad people?
Kalki, also called kalkin, is the tenth avatar of Hindu god Vishnu to end the kali yuga, one of the four periods in endless cycle of existence (krita) in Vaishnavism cosmology. He is described in the Puranas as the avatar who rejuvenates existence by ending the darkest and destructive period to remove adharma and ushering in the satya yuga, while riding a white horse with a fiery sword. The description and details of Kalki are inconsistent among the Puranic texts. He is, for example, only an invisible force destroying evil and chaos in some texts, while an actual person who kills those who persecute others, and portrayed as someone leading an army of Brahmin warriors in some. His mythology has been compared to the concepts of Messiah, Apocalypse, Frashokereti and Maitreya in other religions.
I am very much sure that God is one and he loves his creation...:-)

Not the coming of God. He is eternal, the Creator of the time and space. What Abrahamic religions preach is that a man would come/re-appear at the end of times, who would establish the Almighty's judgement over the whole earth. In Islam, we believe that person is Jesus who was sent as a prophet and the awaited messiah some two thousand years ago. He will be sent back again to fulfill the prophesy of the earlier prophets and the final prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessing be upon them all.

In hinduism we have 3 forms of GOD namely vishnu, Brahma and Shiva, and all 3 have a specific job, the kalki avatar is a form of vishnu to re-establish dharma, these forms have a duty that is the will of GOD, Krishna is our main GOD and he lives in 12 dimension he can see all other dimensions and does not interferes with the working or cycle, Vishnu or the creator lives in the 5 dimension and can see everything in 4 and 3 dimensions, rest all are forms of GOD in hinduism or say the elements and he has assigned each duty to each of his forms and that is why we have so many forms of GOD, it may sound absurd to you but GOD follows a predetermined path and will not interfere with his own cosmic clock...

I think the difference is in the understanding of God. As per Islamic conceptualization, God is the ultimate sovereign, not bounded by any form of predetermination. He is the sole Creator and Sustainer of every life form. He alone rules over all His dominion.

The mutual understanding between different religions will only establish peace in this world, I need to learn more about different religions.....thank you for a little description of Islamic ideology

When your extremist ministers stop talking about setting up a palestinian state in Sinai then there will be a chance to retain the current peace in the region.

The Palestinian/Israeli conflict will never be solved but Israel still has a chance by maintaining/improving ties with Egypt and support them in their efforts in developing Sinai to move more than 3 million Egyptians there and play a constructive role by not affecting Egypt's water supply by supporting Ethiopia under the table. Israel on the other hand can retain control direct control over settlements in the West Bank and security control over the autonomous Palestinian authority in Area B and A and Egypt will remain neutral.

I hope the smart people in Israel especially Prime Minister Netenyahu make a deal with Egypt which will benefit both countries and people. Sham Arabs hate both Egyptians and Israelis/Jews but they will never enter a conventional conflict with Israel without Egypt , they have been using Egyptians for their own interests by using Islam card for their own interests until Sadat ended this crap and brought peace between both nations which has been honoured now for more than 4 decades .

Israel and Egypt can work together in various fields which will bring great benefits to both nations below are some fields that might be helpful .

1) Renewable Solar energy Egypt is currently building one of the biggest solar energy complexes in Aswan which will produce around 2000 MW of electricity . This project is worth 3 billion Euros mostly financed by European development bank.

2) Aquaculture is currently a booming industry in Egypt, production reached 1.7 Million Tons , Egypt has expertise and land to further increase Fish Farming , joined projects between both countries can contribute to clean food security for both nations.

Below sample projects completed in Egypt many are already under way .

3) Egypt will soon start opening high tech greenhouses for growing fruits and vegetables over 100,000 acres of Greenhouses using drip irrigation . The project was done in collaboration with Spanish , Dutch and Chinese companies .

2) http://www.freshplaza.com/article/164379/Tecnova-building-a-high-productivity-greenhouse-in-Egypt

1)

2) The video below in the last 5 minutes from 16.30 until end of the video shows high tech Spanish Greenhouses already setup in Egypt , each greenhouse is on average between 1-2 acres in Marsah Matruh .

4) Siemens and Egypt are close to finishing off 3 mega power plants producing a total of 14,400 MW which will enable Egypt to export electricity to neighboring countries.

5) Egypt and Israel could work together in R&D to find a way to distillate water at a cost suitable for agriculture which would benefit both countries greatly.

Damascus, Syria
Monday 1:00 AM
Light Rain Showers

well here is answer to prayers.

It is raining just 20 km away from Israel.
It's not like we don't have rain smartass. Syria is a wasteland that grows no food, and people starve to death in it, I think the drought is there not in Israel.
