please do not compare India with China ; China is already a regional power India is no where near a regional power status Military vs Military i doubt IAF airpower will last more than a weak when J-11 and J-10 storm in.

Sadly! this is just a news to know and not to analyse. TOI has had an opportunity to check into supposedly defective weapons. Even if there is a small semblance of truth(which there is),it means, that its a great loss of money , time and research and all those bucks would have made more bang, if it were redirected to infra and poverty alleviation..
Pakistan can take a leaf out of this page, and might utilise their money in better way

Yes India is very week, not even a regional power. Pakistan can beat us in matter of hours. SU-30MKI's, Mig-29s, T-90s, Brahmos, Blistic Missils, AWACS, MIrages and 2 million armed forces are nothing. These weapons wont work and instead of real guns we will be using paintball guns right?

Isn't that hypocrate that you guys wont take TOI and credible source but when same newspaper questions Indian armed force's ability, you guys are willing to put all eggs in one basket.

At least we have organizations that are willing to question our abilities and expose out defects and that will make us stronger. When was the last time Pakistani news paper question it's armed forces ability to fight?

It all comes to the same point again and again, We in 65 , 71 were out numbered 5 to 1 on ground and 7 to 1 in Air, What was the results.
If the IAF if betting on SU30s than they are very wrong they need atleast 250 plus to have complete air dominance, From what I see they have the money but by the time they figure out what to buy we will be at power, Yes we can never reach the same numbers they are 5 times the size of Pakistan but we can have such equipment by 2015 which we can dominate the region. Now we are way ahead in the missile program which is enough to keep any one at bay.
