Mate, its not about forcing, these people want a different governing system, and not a different country. They want a communist style governing body. If you go back and look into the history these people have attacked mostly innocent people like doctors and teachers who worked in government run hospitals or schools. These kind of people are the most anti-progress people in the country, they bomb roads, schools, and hospitals that are meant for the improvement of people's lives living in the tribal areas. India is a democratic country and has freedom of speech and protest, but it doesn't mean people can go out and attack innocent people for their cause, because at that point it is plain out terrorism.

If India really wanted to wipe them out then it would have used its army or air force to completely eliminate these guys. However, the military and the government are pretty stern as to not use military power against its own citizens.

every "Rebel" is native..don't you think??and India is democratic,thats why this kind of rebellion still goes on and on..Indian Govt is trying to address their problem for decades..now its the rebels who doesn't want the progress they was fighting for as it tribals turned back on them..these Communists are nothing but some brainwashed fool..in 1960,they announced "MAO" as their "Chairman",yet,they still live here,in India..Even they has several factions who actually came back to mainstream..Maoists are finding it hard to continue their rebellion as their main competitor isn't govt,but its own factions.I suggest you should try to read more and understand the ground reality before just barking some foolish comments..and if really wants to troll,then its just another day on PDF..

India has its history of insurgencies. Many insurgencies.

No thats the wrong perception, naxals ae simply goons who prosper in areas where people (primarily Tribal areas of Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, AP and Maharashtra) are yet to benefit from development. These are armed people who talk of liberation but resort to all sorts of unlawful activities including extortion, smuggling etc.

Indian govt. unfortunately didn't took these groups seriously till they started attacking and killing armed forces personnel.
Lately special forces have been created who are trained to deal with these people in jungle warfare.
But the mallice will only end when the tribal areas get proper governance and people realize that supporting these groups will only cause harm to their own good.

i know an ex-maoist who surrendered some years back. when we asked about him how and why he joined maoist organisation, he just said when he was in his early 20s he came on contact with some top maoist leaders. because of influence of maoists in tribal areas he decided to join maoists. they gave him Rs 1500 monthly. his work was to distribute maoist papers, collection of intels about police operations, collection of food items. sometimes top maoist leaders torture him because he was a low level maoist. they did not care about him and some of his friend. after that he decided to leave the organisation. that's why he with his some friends surrendered to police and got the benefit of govt allowances. now he is in bhubaneswar and working as a security guard and distributing news papers as his part time job.

Well I am not a supporter of terrorism, but areas where militancy is predominant (NE and areas of Andhra, Odissa, Tamil Nadu, MP) are actually very underdeveloped areas. Government has always exploited those areas for minerals and other natural resources. There is a level of tolerance beyond which human...forget human eve animals cannot tolerate. Some also suggested these are no good goons, thieves and smugglers. Well, these people are inside Indian territory. Are they from the neighbouring countries. If it is , why not round them up and send them back?

It just makes no sense. These are aboriginal people in their own homeland and are being oppressed, driven away from the mineral rich land they once inhabited because the government/big corporation want to get rich by exploiting the minerals (possibly sell them to the Chinese).

These people are not asking for a Maoist government in New Delhi. They just want to be left alone in their own domain separated from India. I don't see anything wrong for them to defend against the invader - the Indian.

Again, the Indian army has never been deployed against the maoist. Secondly, please do some research is to who runs the whole maoist ring, you will find out that the leaders are only doing it to extort money out of the people who live in the infested areas. They kill innocents ard hinder any development projects.
