Not a good investment; if the kits are to be imported from India.
Always the fear of embargo will loom ...
It would be the most economical solution for the Pakistani
That's cool man. Your country, your rules.Politics trumps economy and Renault will not be importing CKD from India for Pakistani market.

Aren't the Germans like vw, bmw, audi and merc officially present in pakistan? Do you guys only have toyota, honda and Suzuki to chose from? Pardon the ignorance!
I am sure the American brands must be present in the Pakistani market.
OT: just bought a Mahindra Thar , riding high on the "Make in India" wave!!
India would ban Renault kits & Pakistan would be doomed
An increased choice in cars will be beneficial for us. I have lived in Lucknow for a while and know their automative industry in terms of choice of different types of cars is huge. Poor FDI and disbelief in local models is causing our car industry to suffer. We have more cars per capita than Indians but that still means most of us have very little choice in cars with city mehran cultus Witz being the most common. Almost all people have the same cars which is boring on the roads.
I was looking at that - it seems like a reasonably cheaper alternative to Innova. Are you happy with it? Now that they have launched the Ertiga with an AT transmission - I think that is a better bet.I am afraid I got Renault Lodgy, it seemed like good people mover at the time. Branded as Darcia Lodgy in Europe
Pic below is for representational purpose.
i know a guy who has a astra from new and its still going after 8 years and 130000+ miles, now thats value for money.
im still annoyed that German cars are untrustworthy in terms of efficiency, but i do like the new s class though. if i was to buy a new car, it would be a Bentley gt speed, i have the money but if i get one i wont have any more money to run it. so i will stick to public transport.
Citroen Ds3
specs are dependent on model but i found this site that gives the specs per model
Citroën DS3 (10 on) Performance - Facts and Figures | Parkers
No sir jee, we will be happy to carry on with mehran. Further, used Japanese cars are now a days in abundance in Pakistan and with good spares market.
interesting to hear about you experiences with the cars you have. i typically don't like french cars except for the citroen ds3/5 which look amazing. im sure i said that before. i was not even born when those hideous cars were around [ the first two] im not to keen a coupes even though i dont drive. i dont like them because i find the pointless. if you want a car thats not as big as a saloon or tiny then you need a car like a vw golf.Disagree with you about German cars. Over the years I have had all sorts. I began with slant eyed bangers like this below. Called Dat-Sun
then I went all Gallic. Exact same colour as below and estate. Everything kept falling off. The wipers would break down. The electric front windows broke down. Then the drivers side window fell into the door and would not come out. I eventually priced it out and squashed buts of paper to hold it up in place. The metal was so thin you imprint it with your fingers. However the diesel engine although sounded like tank engine never broke down. I saw all of UK and Ireland including parts of Europe sat in this. Remains my fav car despite all the niggly problems. Although now very rare on the roads if I see one I get all wooly and sentimental
Then as my financial position improved I went all "Das Auto" and bought one of these. Nice car but poor handling although looked good. But I was never comfortable with it. It was not me. It was me being a typical Pakistani. Buy to show off not to enjoy.
Then I found my love. The 3 series coupe. Sleek. Fast and furious. Sexy. This is auto version of Janina Wissler. I can't get her so I have this. Black with cream leather and 19inch alloys. I have done 180,000 miles in four years and it still is running like a dream. German reliability is No.1. My brother has Audi A4 coupe and again that is solid although not as stable around fast corners.
However time is near for my trusted 3 coupe to leave me. I will be upgrading to the sublime new 4 series next spring. Around April. I was going to get it now but with winter approaching I left it for 2016 plate. At the moment I am inclined to topaz blue, cream leather. Other options are arctic white with burgundy leather. I am conflicted at the moment but will make the decision soon.
This below is my baby. Everything is standard although the alloys are replica 19 inch M sport Chinese on Falken rubber as I mulched my originals over a speed bump. These cost 1/3 what BMW quoted and are as good.
I would love to get cabrio version but with British climate where it rains more then sunny days it is not worth it. If I lived in Spain or even France yeh that would be lovely jubly.
*And if anybody is wondering who Janina Wissler is get a grab of her on this video. The song is nice also.
