Mil Mi-4
The first Mi-4 helicopters were inducted in the early 60s just before the India China War. The Mi-4 equipped over six helicopter units and were the mainstay of the medium lift heli force till the induction of the Mi-8 in 1971.
the M-4 was used in the operation cactus lilly of bangladesh liberation war in which indian troops were heli dropped from mi-4s,bypassing pakistani defenses to reach dhaka easily.this was the first helidrop of india armed force.
