ISLAMABAD: The Former Interior Minister of Pakistan Senator Rehman Malik on Friday has wrote a letter to Ban Ki Moon for joint strategy against Islamic State (IS).

In his letter to United Nations (UN) Joint Secretary Ban Ki Moon, Rehman Malik has said that the world is facing a joint enemy in the face of IS. He said that IS’s activities are constantly increasing.

Malik asked UN Secretary General to call a special session of the UN and formulate a joint strategy against terrorism and IS.

This is not the first time ISIS has been nominated as a major threat to world peace.

This is the same interior minister who was involved in embezzling millions of dollars worth of counter-terrorism funds for wedding gifts.

Rehman Malik was never for giving terrorists a free hand. It were some people in Pindi who couldn't stand their 'strategic assets' under arrest. Matter of fact, Malik was always very vocal against Taliban. I think Pakistan should, on State level, actively not only advocate a global coalition against ISIS but also become a part of one. There's already too many allegations of harboring terrorists; staying neutral on ISIS only strengthens those.

Instead of giving sermons and advice to Ban ki Moon about fighting the IS, how about him starting from home by taking on the 'good' terrorists?

But the truth unfortunately is that he can't as they (according to Gen Kayani) are the Establishment's 'strategic assets'.

Yeah, he just stole millions of dollars worth of counter-terrorism which would have definitely not been used for counter-terrorism. He literally did nothing wrong./s.
P.S. I added an /s so some nitwits could understand that I am being sarcastic and stealing counter-terrorism funds will give terrorists a freer hand.
