Recruitment: ‘70,000 appear in written test for 154 posts’ – The Express Tribune

MULTAN:
“Seventy thousand candidates appeared on Sunday for a written test given to fill 154 posts of headmistress advertised by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC),” PPSC Regional Head Muhammad Shabbir said on Sunday.

Muhammad Shabbir told The Express Tribune that 120,000 candidates from across the Punjab were expected to appear for 276 posts of headmistress and headmasters that had been advertised by the Punjab Public Service Commission

“These tests are being conducted at regional centres in the province at Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi,” he said.

“As many as 50,000 candidates will appear for 122 posts of headmaster on April 13,” he said.

He said the posts had been advertised in October 2012 but some candidates had moved a court raising objections in the quotas of the posts.

“The tests are being held now following a Lahore High Court (LHC) ruling that resolved the issue.”

The Punjab Public Service Commission will call 1,380 successful candidates for interviews.

Published in The Express Tribune, April 7th, 2014.

Height of unemployment?
This does not happen even in India.

The max would be unemployed as is the conventional wisdom.
Unless you want people to split hair..

For evidence that is!!

Hi,

Actually most will be employed----as the job is for Head mistress---so obviously the majority would be current and active teachers---.

So your logic, if adapted by me runs into following sequence:

Actually most will be employed----as the job is for Doctor---so obviously the majority would be current and active compounder---

:)
Pun intended..

Conventional wisdom of whom?

Worldwide.
Conventional wisdom = public opinion

Pakistan has more unemployment than India.

Writing exam does not mean looking for employment.

Hi,

Now you are being -----. If the job is advertised for a MEDICAL SUPERINTENDANT it is expected that most of the doctors applying for that job would be already employed medical officers.

See---you ought to have a minimum qualification for the job----ie either an MBBS or an MD +++++.

The compounder doesnot meet the minimum education qualification for the job of a doctor---. So---if the job is advertised for a doctor----then all those with qualifications may apply ie an MBBS or an MD.

Son----why are you doing this to yourself---.
