Rare images of Sikh soldiers who fought in World War I

please no racist slurs
not all Muslims are decedents of raiders of Arabia
most of us like me have forefathers who were Sikhs or Hindus so I don't find myself any better than my cousins in India.
I understand that those that have their lineage directly with the Arab princes can look down on us but please keep it to your self. its not polite to look down at rest of us.

thank you

I like your qualified question

you conditioned your question with the word "opinion"

I will add the word Indian as well.
why?

because Arab Israel conflict shows a very humbling picture
Actually thats not true.

We from the other side of a indus were never hindu.

And our cousins in south were Buddhists for most of their history... and a form if hunduism that is different from mainstream indian hinduism... much like nepal ..

yaar khan baal ki khaal na utar

they may have been Zoroastrians, Budhists, Klingons if not Hindus. but point is.. not everyone of our ancestor was an Arab invader,.

Discipline, bravery , toughness and results.
I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to say. You do realize FAR more hindus and sikhs won the Victoria's crosd than muslims? The majority of south asian VC winners were from modern india.

there is almost no difference between north indian hinduism and nepali hinduism. Hinduism racticed in Sindh is also almost exactly the same as Hinduism in northern and western india. There are actually a lot of Sindhi hindus mostly from india but a couple from Pakistan where I live. The only significantly different variations of hinduism are practiced in south india, bengal, and ne india(mostly Assam).

Go read a book.. even after 1857... guess where the troops came from and how they treated the locals..

i know that a disproportionate number of troops were from modern pakistan mostly punjab and NWFP. what i was saying was that the majority if vc winners were hindus and sikhs from modern india, which is true. in no way am i putting down the achievements and bravery of soldiers from modern pakistan.

Again that is a lie.

Soldiers also came from Nepal..

As for VC winners... the first VC was a Khudadad Khan from Panjab, Pakistan.

And even if you do count sikh n hindus from modern day Pakistan that would still make more VCs from Pakistan than modern day india.

And even if you count Muslim VCs (who were recruited from mostly 2 seasons : Panjab and KPK.. while Baloch and to an extend Hazaras refrained from joining..

In WWI .. Muslim soldiers from Pakistan won 3 VCs.

indians won 6.

Nepal 2.

In WWII:

Pakistani = 4

Indian and Nepalis won rest.

yes i know a lot of nepali gorkhas won VC. Howevr that foes not change the fact the majority of vc eecipients were from moern day india. and yes i know the first was from pakistan which is impressive but indians still won more. in ww1, 6 VC recipients were from modern india, 3 from pakistan.
in ww11, 13 from india, 5 from pakistan.

irrelevant conversation
your response to first message was a waste of time since that statement lacked logic and was a personal biased opinion.
second one well its your choice. khan decided to correct me and I would have said the same you said. but you done it better. bravery is not confined to a religion or a race and the soldiers from the British India proved that they were no less than any other race when it came to proving themselves.

All in such intense vain. Fighting for the empire was fighting on the wrong side
yea that's another discussion.
no one would have discovered how awesome Gorkhas are had the British not introduced them to the world after taming them
