Overall Non of the nations want a war these Border clashes tend to happen often don't they ? Truth is neither of us can sustain a long war. India is building up to be a power for that it has to wait for a time to build up its arms to counter both countries and Pakistan is in no stage to sustain any war. So I assure you these border clashes will happen often just like in past. Nothing is going to happen serious from both sides. I hope it does not go serious .

The United States’ strategists learned very early that nuclear use at the tactical level would lead to a strategic response and an uncontrollable escalation and ergo they decided to give it up. And if you thought India would remain mum after the use of a tac-nuke then that would be the biggest mistake. India has been very clear about its stance against the use of tac-nukes and if attacked by a tac-nuke massive retaliation is what the enemy should expect, at the least.

If India crosses that red line, we will use nukes. No reason for us NOT to use it.

The so called red line is so blur and ambiguous that Pakistan might attack India even if it "feels" its being stifled economically.

Heavy Overnight Shelling by Pakistan at International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, Several BSF Posts Targeted

There seems to be no end to the ceasefire violations by Pakistan as its troops resorted to heavy overnight shelling, targeting several Border Security Force (BSF) posts, in various sectors at the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Director General of the BSF is scheduled to go to Jammu today and visit the forward areas to take stock of the situation.

Yesterday, 15 Indian posts came under fire from the Pakistan Rangers in the Samba and Hiranagar sectors. One BSF jawan who was injured in the firing later succumbed to his injuries.

Indian retaliatory fire has killed five Pakistan Rangers. Apart from this, one civilian, a woman, has been killed and 10 others injured as a result of Pakistani fire, according to the BSF.

Meanwhile, most of border population in the Samba and Hiranagar sectors have been evacuated and moved to safer places, to avoid any casualties. Authorities have also ordered the closure of all schools in the Hiranagar and Marheen region, and also issued a notification for the postponement of the ongoing examinations for Class XI.

The Kathua District administration has also closed all educational institutions indefinitely and has set up more camps to serve the people evacuated from villages close to the border.

The District Magistrate (DM) of Kathua said that Pakistani shelling has also extended a significant distance from the border, with shells exploding 3.5 km inside Indian territory, at places like Chakra, Sherpur and Londi.
