agree, and its relatively easy to do. Just give leaders of opposition a say in decision making process (make it bipartisan), and they will stop bitching about CEC.
He has been chairman FPSC, SC judge, acting CJ. None used religion against him. He was acceptable to all but there is a constitutional provision and he doesn't want it to be repealed for just himself.
what I wanted to say was, when it comes to elections politicians in our region knows no bound in demonizing someone for the mess. I heard praises about the last CEC before the elections but now he is being called names.
From where you heard anything about CEC specifically? None has blamed him but other machinery of EC has been blamed. He was an old man and sidelined by other members of EC and bureaucracy.
in this forum only, all I am saying is if something wrong happens under Rana's tenure some people might attack him and they might take it a bit far if they indulge his religious background. CEC is a very controversial post and people who will lose might cry about dhandli blaming EC and people at its helm for favoring another party. It's a good thing that he denied this post. he is an intelligent man
