I am not one to spare Chinese or anyone else when there is a genuine mistake. But in this case don't you think we should first get the facts straight before calling the Chinese racist?

Apparently they found a cluster of Nigerians who tested positive for Covid and now there is mass hysteria in Guangzhou. Very telling how a people reacts to a situation of crisis, it just shows there were no legal protections or ethical guidelines to prevent hysterical discrimination.

The fact that a sign like this can be found at a MCDONALD'S, an American branded fast food chain, shows how pervasive such sentiment is throughout their society. An operator of a McDonald's would be someone who would be fairly sophisticated, well off and acquainted with international business, the fact that they would allow such discrimination just means that from the most sophisticated down to the least, such discriminatory behavior is warranted.

pretty much seems like government enforcement of such rules, as it is being said that the africans have 24 hours either to quarantine or book a flight back to their country, the female also states that she understands that the guy is just following official ''orders'' which seem to imply government policy.

According to Aljazeera or TRT News, the Chinese Government said they weren't aware of these enforcements and were going to investigate these.
