Interesting pick i've got from the Indian R&AW's spy RK Yadv's book, Mission R&AW. It states that they set up a INR 132cr fund to basically finance the victory of a prefered PM in 2004. This is a gift for Bangladeshi members, and those deluded fellow Pakistanis who rather stupidly think that Indians are capable or worthy of friendship.

Same book states how, R&AW funded ANP's Khan Abdul Wali Khan, who was leading a sepratist movement in Pakistan.

Hey, it's not like Pakistan and ISI haven't used tactics like these either which involve funding groups in other countries.
Get over it. It's a world of agendas. India will obviously fund those who would be an ideal partner.
We should respond by funding OUR friends with even more cash.

Considering Bangladesh is an Indian colony since 1971, it's no surprise that New Delhi decides who governs India's East Bengal state.

Well done Mukti Bahini. Mubarrak to Bangladesh.

Is 32 crore a fund for an entire general election in a country of 180 million people?

@Aeronaut the PM of Bangladesh Isn't ELECTED by People of Bangladesh, but SELECTED by People in RAW...........

& for that you don't have to REFER to any BOOK........... :rolleyes:

@Aeronaut Why do we need to FUND a party? We basically control their system. A call from R&AW HQ to the election commission would suffice.

Elections in Bangladesh were in 2001, 2009 and 2014. Is it possible to get the author to clarify which year he/she was referring to?

He just missed the mark...Anyway, there is nothing to hide with the fact that Indian GOV fascilitate Awami league in BD...But if you think that 132 crore is enough to buy out a winning a PM party in BD, then it is an insult to BD itself....Now a days in India, an local assembly level politician will demand 10 crore to be sold out across party line ...And in that way this is too small to even sold out to any one..

@kalu miah

I think it refers to the corruption that occured in 2001 BD election funding being brought to light in 2004.

Khaleda Zia won election in 2001 and definitely she did not take money from RAW, as India and Awami were making noise from way back that she has connections with ISI and taking money from them.

After the coup in 2007, Hasina won in 2009 election and she won again in the sham non-election in 2014.
