A clip from a speech by Pakistan’s Founding Father, the Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, a few weeks after Independence on 14 August 1947.

Here the Quaid shares his mind in the clearest terms possible on provincialism and regional identities in relation to Pakistani identity and nationalism.

He rejects language-based politics in favor of national politics. This clip highlights the irony in today’s Pakistan where almost all major political parties, from PMLN to ruling PPPP, to ruling coalition partners ANP and MQM are all language-based parties that thrive on dividing Pakistanis.

Despite Quaid-e-Azam’s clear instructions, the existing Constitution and Election Commission and other government departments continue to allow politicians and political parties to get away with promoting divisive politics in Pakistan.

'Let us trust each other, Let us judge by results, not by theories. With the help of every section --I see that every class is represented in this huge gathering --let us work in double shift if necessary to make the Sovereign State of Pakistan really happy, really united and really powerful' Jinnah

thanks for sharing this video

this video has answered a lot of questions in my mind. Nice --- Quaid-e-Azam was indeed the Quaid of the nation :)

You have doubts before about it?

Thank you so much abubhai. Just wish the great man could have given us 5 more years to set us on the right path

How can people claim he wanted a secular Pakistan after this and NUMEROUS other speeches he made to the same effect, that the fundamental reason for creating Pakistan was Islam.

In general, these seculars seem pretty dishonest - their underlying conviction seems to be, that if they repeat a lie often enough, perhaps they'll manage to convince people that it is true. And seculars all over from Turkey's manipulative armed forces, to Americans and NATO with their self-righteous dribble that they spew on their media, talking about noble ideals while killing millions in poor countries.

At best - the argument that our Quaid-e-Azam wanted a "secular" Pakistan, is due to a lack of knowledge and information. People point to his one speech where he talked to the effect that followers of all religions who live here are equal Pakistanis, and take that to mean he was secular, but - that freedom of religion is an Islamic concept. "To us, our Din, to you, your Din" as the Quran says. The Holy Prophet and his Muslim community, lived cohesively, with the Jewish community in Madina, they had a common set of social/civic laws that they both agreed to adhere to, and their religion was their private matter.

It's really sickening how dishonest this secular ideology is, and their propaganda about the reasons why our earlier generations desired a Pakistan, is just one example. Another major example is their dishonest propaganda, about Islam being spread by the sword. It is so transparently dishonest, especially so because these western powers have tried very, VERY hard to make other civilizations swallow their western idiology at the brunt of a gun. They used huge armies, overwhelming resistance entirely and achieving a complete military victory. And yet, even after centuries under their imposed rule and living under their control, their education ingraining propaganda into newer generations from a very young age - despite all their fervent efforts, resistance still remained. People resented them, and kept struggling in any and every way possible. And eventually they failed, everywhere, to spread their bile by brute force. Even in utterly weak places like Africa, people still dislike and resist them. It is a fundamental truth, that you can't force nations, or even people, to change what is in their hearts, even if you are very powerful and brutal and they are at your mercy. A change of heart has to come from the inside, can't be forced from the outside.

And then they claim that all these people accepted Islam wholeheartedly and completely, "at the tip of a sword". They leave recorded events in history that make their claims look ridiculous, out of the public narrative, out of history books.

For example, it is recorded in history that - When the Battle of Yarmuk was looming where the Muslims were surrounded and heavily outnumbered by the Romans, dispatches were urgently sent to all Muslim detachments in the Syrian province and nearby lands, to march to Yarmuk and gather there in strength. And Abu Ubaida Bin Jarrah, heading out from the city of Hims, called the Jewish and Christian inhabitants of the city out and returned all Jizya tax collected. He told them that, the Jizya tax was to fund the defence of the city, and as the Muslims had to march out they could not ensure protection of the city anymore, and had to return it. The Padri(Christian religious leader) of the city publically prayed to God to bring these Muslims back, and that they preferred their rule over that of their fellow Christian rulers. Because of the character of the Muslims, the Adl&Insaaf.

So either these seculars in our society are not intellectually very vigorous - "zubaan Apni maghr baat unn ki", as the great scholar Ghulam Ahmed Parvaiz used to say - after centuries of slavery, our mouths but *their* words, we parrot their thoughts. They can only parrot what the west's said. Regardless of how flexible the West is with their ever-changing morality, these seculars of ours bend their opinions to mimick the west. The Westerners are living Gods, they do no wrong, they are perfect in everything they do - and we should humbly suffer from a huge inferiority complex. It's either this intellectually deficient mindset - or, they intentionally, out of malice, spew out lies and propaganda.

Note: these are 2-3- different speeches merged !!
