Qamar, Mukhtar portfolios interchanged

ISLAMABAD: Portfolios of Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar and Minister for Water and Power Naveed Qamar have been interchanged, Geo News reported.

Ahmed Mukhtar has been made Minister for Water and Power while Naveed Qamar as Defence Minister.

According to Geo News anchor and senior analyst Hamid Mir, portfolios have been changed after PML-N allegation about discrimination with Punjab in power misdistribution as Naveed Qamar belongs to Sindh.

Ahmed Mukhtar belongs to Punjab and had accepted the challenge to overcome power outages to 50 percent in six months.

A guy who has been AWOL from the Defence ministry for the past so many years, and shows his face only when he lands in an executive jet on a runway in no mans land and waving as if he has conquered Kashmir, is given the electricity ministry in these times?

Mukhtar is even worse than Naveed Qamar. Get ready for one day of electricity per week folks!

BTW, isn't any qualification needed for ministries? A guy who was a Defence minister, is now a Water and Power minister? Or does AHmed Mukhar has education in both these fields? (which i doubt)

Maybe we hear the news that they have created a new ministry called 'Ministry of space research and remote sensing' and appoint AM as minister due to his extra ordinary capabilities to fly away at critical times? who knows.
