Putin Calls Imran Khan

.
Russia is more a friend to India than to Pakistan but on Afghanistan issue, we and Russia are pretty much on the same plate.

no thing as friendship just interests. india buys weapons from russia

Erdogon lost all his trust & influence in Afghanistan the day they gave Dostume refuge and wanted to station Turkish troops in Kabul.

Erdogon is a fraud and only uses Islam to further his political agenda willing to sell his army to the west against muslims. Today Turkish troops are being booted out, Dostum fled with his tail between his legs, and Taliban have warned Erdo not to cross their red line.

The only true leader of the muslim world today is IMRAN KHAN. If talibs want any legitimacy or support they should recognize Imran Khan as amir ul mumineen.

Islamic scholars or mullah cannot be Caliph, Emir, or label themselves as Commander of the faithful. That title can only be held by a strong POLITICAL LEADER under Sunni Jurisprudence
Turkey seems confused!

Kabul airport drama
dostum being flown into Afghanistan

Turkey needs to get its act together and decide once and for all east or west... balancing act can be fruitful but very difficult in the new world order of multi polar world politics!

I thought the same but its not true. I had discussions with some officials posted in Turkey. They said rashid dostum came from Turkey to Afghanistan and straight to Uzbekistan, he didn't even fire a single bullet.
Turkey have joined hands with taliban and soon this will become mlre evident.

Indians were celebrating Putin call to Modi but apparently Modi was told that India using Afghan soil to spread terrorism is no longer an option. NDS headquarter seizure by Taliban have revealed a lot of dirty Indian secrets.

Modi was told by whom? Are you a mind reader?

.
Russia.China,Pakistan Iran n Turkey must for new block with Central Asia states. Turkey needs to decide he’s with Asia or Europe

Yes.
And I don't blame Turkey for its strategic posture. Turkey gets a lot out of NATO/West. It will get whatever it can from wherever. And in Afghanistan, Turkey is likely to work closely with Pakistan while getting some Western support. Smart diplomacy.

As for Putin-- as long as India buys Russian weapons, Putin will retain its semi pro India posture. No blaming them. But Indians know well that there is no 'friendship'--and not even trust between them! India is not capable of making genuine friends!

Don't be so sour. Finally we are on the verge now of a regional bloc becoming a reality.

Whether you like it or not, US/NATO and India cannot influence our region anymore. The world should embrace itself for a regional bloc between Russia, Pakistan, China, Afghanistan, Central Asian States and Iran. This regional bloc will trade and also form a military alliance eventually. Most likely smaller nations in the neighborhood will join.
You are putting too much faith in a hypothetical regional bloc TBH.

Remember SEATO (1954 - 1977) and CENTO (1955 - 1979)? Pakistan joined both. These blocs looked promising when they formed but did not achieve much in the grand scheme of things. Countries do not follow each other blindly; simply care about their own interests in the end.

To give you some perspective:

1. Turkey cannot ignore Europe (and NATO) due to its geography.

2. Central Asian Republics have had border disputes.

3. China continues to work with entire world.

4. Russia is seeking respectful treatment from NATO irrespective of tensions with this bloc. Russia will continue to work with India as well.

5. Iran is under heavy sanctions which make it very difficult for other countries to make solid deals with it.

6. Afghanistan needs to establish international goodwill to recover.

These countries can discover ways to work with each other but will all ignore additional economic streams? Unlikely.

USA is able to influence global trends due to multiple factors; the largest consumer-driven economy in the world; supplier of advanced technologies to many countries; USD being one of the global reserve currencies; member (and donor) of various International Organizations; UN co-founder and VETO member; formidable military might with the capacity to deploy in any location if necessary. These factors collectively shape and define 'options' for Americans in various themes.

USA does not need to be in Afghanistan to influence this hypothetical bloc, or any other.

Global Order is shaped by various realities. Let us be realistic in our expectations.

TAPI is American proposal by the way.

India has a bigger economy and everyone wants to invest and make money. Why Arab Countries are not keen on Investing in Pakistan??? because of the previous experience. Our corrupt political leaders stole investment money from Arabs countries.

Interesting how he called Pakistan PM the next day after he spoke to the Indian PM. Wonder what was requested of Putin.

There is no bigger interest for the region to unite and form an economic and defence pact. Aren't other regions following the same strategy to strengthen cooperation? ASEAN, EU, quad etc. Why should our region hold back and let foreigners invade and dictate the terms? China has finally taken the lead with OBOR. This is exactly what the region requires.

1. I have never mentioned Turkey in the regional bloc. I know that Turkey has other obligations. They are bound by certain geopolitical and economic realities. Turkey will always predominantly remain in the EU sphere.

2. Central Asian Republics are more than ever ready to work with China in order to expand trade. Trade unifies and resolves many disputes including border conflicts.

3. China also initiated OBOR. Just because China works with the rest of the world doesn't mean it will neglect its own backyard.

4. Russia will work with all parties including Pakistan. Pakistan has no issues with Russia working with India.

5. China has made a massive economic deal with Iran despite sanctions. Russia too does business with Iran. Talking about interests. This outdated thinking that Iran is under sanctions and no business can be conducted is counterproductive. Pakistan too must decide and think about its own interests. US sanctions against Iran are only for optics. The world moves on.

6. All Afghanistan needs is regional support from China, Russia, Pakistan and Iran. The rest is a bonus. Whether the world gets over its arrogance remains to be seen. We won't stop regional cooperation just because the world is waiting to recognise the new reality in Afghanistan LOL

We will see in the end. I stand firmly behind what I said. I believe a regional bloc between Pakistan, Russia, China and Iran will happen very soon. It has to happen because the environment and timing are conducive.

The US has been comprehensively outplayed in Afghanistan for the past two decades. Its influence has taken a major hit. Even its own European allies are questioning its commitment and resolve. Let's not overestimate the US. The US is today competing in a multipolar world. The world has changed significantly despite so-called US powers.

TAPI has been on paper for a few decades now. It is a paper project at best. It will never materialise. You know what did materialise? CPEC.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, in a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Wednesday stressed the importance of adopting coordinated approaches to address the evolving situation in Afghanistan, saying that Pakistan gave "high importance" to the role of the Troika Plus format.

Pakistan and Russia, along with the United States and China, are known as the Extended Troika on Peaceful Settlement in Afghanistan and have held multiple meetings this year on the situation in the war-torn country.

Prime Minister Imran, who received a call from Putin today, exchanged views on the Afghan situation as well as bilateral relations with the Russian president, a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said.

The prime minister emphasised that a stable, secure and peaceful Afghanistan was "vitally important" for Pakistan and regional stability. He also highlighted that an inclusive political settlement was the "best way forward" in Afghanistan, along with ensuring the safety, security and protection of rights of Afghans, according to the PMO handout.

Furthermore, the premier stressed that the international community must stay "positively engaged in support of the people of Afghanistan to help address humanitarian needs and ensure economic sustenance".

Talking about Pakistan-Russia relations, Prime Minister Imran expressed satisfaction at their "upward trajectory", noting that high-level exchanges were increasing and cooperation in various sectors was growing.

He also affirmed Pakistan's resolve to strengthen trade relations as well as bilateral collaboration in the energy sector, including the early realisation of the Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline Project, the statement said.

Imran and Putin agreed to "closely cooperate within the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) for promoting regional peace and security", it added.

The prime minister also invited the Russian leader to visit Pakistan.

Last month, amid reports that Putin was going to visit Pakistan in July, the Foreign Office spokesperson had clarified that while "invitations for visits at the summit level have been extended by both sides", no visit of the Russian president was scheduled.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited Islamabad in April this year, and Pakistan's foreign and defence ministers visited Russia last year.

Lavrov's two-day trip to Pakistan was the first visit by a Russian foreign minister in nine years, part of a warming in once-frosty relations.

During his trip to Islamabad, the Russian foreign minister had remarked in a statement: "We stand ready to strengthen the anti-terrorist potential of Pakistan, including by supplying Pakistan with special military equipment."

Lavrov had said an agreement was also reached on conducting additional joint military exercises such as the Arabian Monsoon maritime drill.
