Punjab tops Human Development Index:UNDP-2018

. .
This will make the Legendary Chief Minister Shahbaz to win another term in power.

Since the tinday brothers apparently couldnt be bothered to educate you, let me shed some light:

ANY report by UN offices doesnt include data of the year they "finalized the report".

For instance a report finalized in 2016 contains ONLY data up to 2015 because 2016 was not completed and the data was not yet available to make logical and lovely charts for people to cheer and feel happy about.

So basically what you are comparing is 2015 data...when Shabaz Shariff had done 1 round of 5 yrs + a new round and you are comparing that to 2yr by a totally new government who needed to undo the trash that was presented to it?

No matter how dumb one is, I am sure you can see the error in your chest thumping, right?

You are an Elite here with 60+ ratings as well. Show some respect to yourself at least or people force to believe its all dubious...no doubt.
Now Here is reply to your rant.

Garidah farooq has very valid point but still Imran deserve one chance to be in centre to show us his leadership abilities and how different he is as compare to those who already been tried and tested not once but dont know how many times and they are still comming up with same promises which they did made 10/15 years back..Then there will be no exuse left for IK that i had no power to change the direction of this country

How does she have a valid point? PTI has presented 100 plan of actions they will be taking to sort issues out. They are not saying that they will fix everything in 100 days coz that would be impossible. Human development takes years mature and in this report they are comparing from 2005 to 2015, 8 years of these were not under PTI. While 7yrs of these were PMLN was ruling. So basically they are comparing 7yrs of PMLN to 2yrs of PTI. Also remember KPK was a war torn province.

A proper comparison would be improvements between 2013 till now.

But i agree with your point that if IK doesn't fulfill his promises then we can kick him out and get someone else in.

These are plan for first 100 days. You remeber there was plan to end corruption in 30 days and terrorism in 90 days in 2013 election. Point of Gharida is that if you can bring change in 100 days after getting in power then you had 5 years in KPk and this excuse is not valid that it was first term thats why KPK is behind Punjab etc then do they also want 10 or 15 years for significant change in policies to be visible

end corruption in 90 days i remember, but human development can't be fixed in 2 yrs. remember this report is till 2015. Ever wonder why the reports are made every 10 years?

Please dont give me Elite member...Anyone can achieve that! But only a blind nooni supporter can achieve what you did: announce a 2015 report as that of 2018!! That is the key fact!

2ndly, we are talking about a stable govt in a stable province as compared to KPK which has always had problems....Comparing the two is really being petty! What I think you cant fantom is the fact that Noons want to compare something less than them so that they look great! How about comparing something EQUAL to them will they fare as champs? Be logical and be sincere! At least to Pakistan and its people!

When you compare a 9 yr consistent tenure...A lot can be done in 9 yrs with mega projects, if one's heart and soul is really into it! Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia even China jumped within a decade or 2....And they arent comparing themselves to each other but to Europe!

The only time Noon can compare us to Europe is when we get floods! I mean for having 9 yrs of tajarbah, you wouldnt forget to build a working drainage in a known flooding area when building an overly expensive metro, would you? THAT alone shows really bad sense of planning and management despite 9 yrs of experience!

.
Let me just ask you quickly, do you know HOW UN reports are written? MOSTLY through local sources...And if you dont have an idea of local sources and their abilities, let me shine some light on local source telling us xyz number of schools in Punjab (whole of Punjab) but failing to address that a significant number ARE ghost schools or broken buildings lacking basic facilitiies. The same is in almost every institute...So even if this report glorifies anything in more than Lahore, the ground reality doesnt match the report at all! People living in most of these areas can testify!

The sad thing is that investigative journalism isnt a field in Pakistan...Almost all channels are bragging about this report with data given by such local sources from 2015! AND using it to compare KPK, which needs more than 1 term to clean up PREVIOUS mess left by predecessors! After all, it is the same thing Noon said when they took over from PPP that they need time to clean up mess left to them....And people agreed that when a party takes over they need time to adjust..But when it is a "tujurbah" party with experience in the same office not too long ago, you would expect it to actually move a little bit faster than fake charts!

All I say is take the report with a pinch of salt ;)

Sure the methodology can be flawed and local sources biased. I also know however that some of the richest people in Pakistan come from the northern districts of Punjab. Where do you think Malik Riaz is from? Sialkot has some of the richest people in the country. Again the wealth distribution may not be even and the bulk of the populace in these areas may be living in conditions that can hardly be defined as "highly developed". However it is also true that a sizeable portion of the population have indeed been able to make good money for themselves, and that is due to the environment in which they operate. My maternal family migrated from Amritsar to Pakistan in 1947. They got lands in S. Punjab (Muzzafargarh) as compensation to the lands they lost in the Jalandhar and Amritsar regions, so I am very well aware of the kind of behaviour that prevails in S. Punjab. It most certainly is not an environment in which entrepreneurial mindsets can thrive. Rather might is right and Khar and his likes grabbed the land of numerous incoming muhajir families like my mothers because they could. Landowners and shrine keepers thrive there and they have a vested interest in ensuring the populace remains uneducated and backward. Of course corruption is a big problem in N. Punjab as well but relative to the south and other provinces of Pakistan the situation is better. N League and other Punjab governments have had little to do with this as they simply inherited the socio-economic structure left behind by the Brits.

KPK, KPK where is KpK ????

Punjab has 110 million people and KpK has around 30 million , and yet kpk is so behind under five years of PTI leadership.

Shahbaz Shariff and Pmln governing 110 million Punjabis has done a lot of developlment and growth in Punjab; mind blowing work.

Let me tickle your common sense:

Population who has been ruled by the same govt (meaning govt should be considered experienced)
vs
A new government....who has no experience and has to solve the previous left problems...

So if an experienced govt needs to compare with a new government...It kind of shows lack of confidence!

35 yrs plus experience of a party - who has been in both provincial and federal govts wishes to compete with a govt who has only been elected once in a deprived province....that really spells unfair comparison as well as sad need to feel good, no?
