Punjab okays Rs296m to acquire land for UET new campus

Lahore : The Punjab government has approved the acquisition of land for establishment of Narowal Campus of University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore at the cost of Rs296.18 million, besides nine other development schemes with an estimated cost of Rs4.37 billion.These schemes were approved in the 22nd meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14. According to spokesman of P&D Department, the approved development schemes included: Acquisition of 1604-K&10-M Land for Establishment of Narowal Campus of University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, District Narowal at the cost of Rs. 296.
182 million, Establishment of 60 Bedded THQ Hospital at Raiwind Lahore at the cost of Rs. 345.008 million, Establishment of Strategic Planning / Reform Unit in Irrigation Department (PC-II) at the cost of Rs. 159.850 million, Establishment of I.C.U. at B.V. Hospital Bahawalpur (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 275.522 million, Comprehensive Water Supply & Sewerage Scheme Mianwali at the cost of Rs. 431.646 million, Comprehensive Urban Water Supply & Sewerage Scheme District Headquarter Jauharabad District Khushab at the cost of Rs. 479.335 million, Comprehensive Urban Water Supply & Sewerage Scheme Khushab at the cost of Rs. 314.591 million, Widening / Improvement of THAT pail road km 165.75 to 193.20 i/c Talagang Byepass L=3.80 km total length=32.21 km District Chakwal at the cost of Rs. 858.826 million, Dualization of Khushab Muzaffargarh Road from Railway Crossing to Khanpur Bagga Sher (Balance Length) from km No: 287.55 to 292.00 length=4.45 km at the cost of Rs. 218.101 million and Provision of Laptops at the cost of Rs. 1000.00 million.
