West have started to make solar windows now.so far behind. We don't think that much especially if it is provincial govt. However some entrepreneur should have stepped in. Why we expect everything to be done by the govt? Why does the nation lack entrepreneurial thinking? Pakistan is a vast market for PV panels but everyone wants to invest in the real estate or starting up some grocery stores, petrol pumps, school, restaurant etc
No one thinks about expanding their horizons and invest in other areas that have more potential and growth. My conclusion is that we are short sighted people who are always looking for shortcuts and quick money.
All of us keep looking at the govt while whenever we want to invest we just buy property, stock dollars, buy shares and trade in stocks... but none of us wants to use his or her brain and step into new areas. And BTW PV panels is neither a new technology nor you need to do any R&D... It has been in use for more than 3 decades. It is a mature technology so all one has to do is to hire a few skilled people, get some licenses, install the machinery and produce them. All the knowledge and technology is available in open market.West have started to make solar windows now.so far behind.
The unfortunate problem I see is that there is no local manufacturing, assembling if one can call it is being done but the quality of panel is "C" which is a pity because in Pakistan the cost of solar is approx 1.5$ per watt which is almost three times that of international prices on a wholesale level.
Oh no sir its basically money laundering under/over invoicing on LCs, don't want to go in details right now middleman (dallal) is just one aspect of it.It's the usual curse where the middleman is making a huge profit margin. Price regulation is nowhere to be seen.

Hazrat thats i was talking about hardly efficiency rate around 16% where world pushing it towards 22-26% the guy i told u from McGill university masters in renewable energy esp solar?investor ky 10 crore doboo ky bhaag giyaa tragedy he never tried to use his education to design something himself rather than use his degree to lure investors and parties and tried to sale chinese setups
Badsha kay bachay jo hain! Why does the nation lack entrepreneurial thinking?
We think everything is government's responsibility and previous govt have been taking loans subsidising things to fool these people with peanuts while looting 99% of the loan which we need to pay today.Badsha kay bachay jo hain!
In USA, there are venture funds and venture capitalists. There are a lot of match making events, a creative person can go to such events, pitch his/her idea and see if they are interested. The dilemma is those who have ideas don't have the money, and those who have money don't have the idea (what I call as creativity impotence). Those who have the money think the idea is worthless it is the money that counts and one of the reasons people invest with double shah.
After getting my idea plagiarized three times I decided to stop sharing them with people having money, back in the day I used to charge $2500 for just making one individual financial plan (abroad of course), we can bitch about it unless people with money understand that idea is equally important I don't see much happening in entrepreneurial creativity.
