LAHORE : Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yasin along with the Food Safety Officers sealed a factory producing fake mineral water at Shershah Colony and a juice factory on the Raiwind Road for selling outdated juices after repacking and lodged an FIR against the administration of juice factory.
The minister directed the officers of food authority to maintain checks and balances of quality of items and cleanliness in hotels, restaurants and factories and if any organisation was involved in providing substandard edibles or had poor sanitary condition, strict action should be taken against them.
Later, Bilal Yasin visited Ramazan bazaars at Sandah, Shahdra, Harbanspura, Tajpura, Shadman, Gulshan-e-Ravi and Islampura. He checked the quality of daily essential items and directed the shopkeepers to deal with the consumers politely and sell the essential items at the rates fixed by the Punjab government.
