Punjab bans dancing at school events

.
where is sexuality in this video sir ? what is wrong with this nation ?

i consider only naked dances are not good for kids
So unless they're completely naked there is absolutely nothing wrong with that?

That dance is sexually provocative because no normal Pakistani would allow their child to dance like that in public. It's out of norm.

. .
How long do you think you can control your kids ?

School nhi to college main seekhenge.. let people fall and learn for themselves, why stifle the human experience ? it only leads to a deranged adulthood.

The 'let people fall and learn for themselves' philosophy has ruined Western societal values and norms over time. Look no further then the history of the US.

It is important for any society to groom its members in such a way that they become productive citizens and uphold its values.

Pakistan has [no] culture today because it has an unfortunate habit of adopting practices of other societies instead of cultivating its own. Outcome is a 'confused societal model' with rampant clashes in regards to how to steer this country forward and into what direction.

Founding fathers of Pakistan envisioned a moderate (Islamic) society whose values would be grounded in virtues of Unity, Faith and Discipline and where minorities would enjoy equal rights. Unfortunately, this country degenerated into something else where nothing is clear and people look up to 'worldly gods' for guidance.

And I am in favor of the ban. Educational institutions must set their priorities right. I would prefer utilizing resources for a proper playground which most institutions lack rather than wasting the time and money organizing dance competition etc. But firstly, lets focus on our curriculum and update it. These days, educational institutions are less famous for their academic performances and more for other things and none of them are good.

Important, yes, but the problem lies in determining how to best achieve such goals. Banning anything usually moves the problem elsewhere without solving much.

I'm sure we can both point to multiple instances of "immoral debauchery" etc in the west compared to our native cultures but they are still a way more advanced society than we can hope to be (for the foreseeable future anyway)

regardless of where or what kind of culture one is born into.. kids will be kids, adolescents will be adolescents.. and crazy people will be crazy people.

let the kids breathe

I seriously doubt you are Muslim even Pakistani and shut up when you have no idea, search the topic first read it and then open your mouth about your findings ok.
Don't attack someone by calling him a traitor or non Muslim, if his views are different, discuss it with him. That is the point of this forum. It is a place to discuss not abuse each other. I think that both of you have raised some valid points that the other party should ponder upon.

A regional assembly in Pakistan has voted to ban dance parties at schools and universities. It would stop “vulgarity” and the promotion of Western culture, an official said after politicians Punjab passed the resolution.

It means government and private educational institutions in the province will no longer be able to hire DJs or hold dances on their premises.

Students and activists vowed to oppose the measure. They said dancing was “not the business of politicians”.

But Sheikh Ijaz of Punjab's ruling Pakistan Muslim League party, who proposed the ban said: “This resolution was passed to stop vulgarity and the promotion of Western culture among youths."

He added that the legislation faced no opposition from secular, moderate or Islamic parties in the Punjab Assembly.

He tabled the motion after hearing complaints from parents that schools were organising mixed-gender events, which are prohibited in Islam, he said.

Mahwash Ajaz, a Pakistani psychologist, opposed the motion, saying it amounted to a violation of civil liberties.

“It is up to parents to decide what their underage children can and cannot do in schools. It is not the business of politicians or state to interfere in such matters,” she said.

“Don’t we have more pressing concerns to consider such as physical abuse of children, sexual abuse and quality of education, rather than kids having some function or dancing once or twice a year?”

A similar attempt to ban dancing in schools was made was made in the southern Sindh province in 2016, but was rejected at a vote.

An editorial in one of Pakistan’s biggest English-language newspaper's, The Dawn, opposed the ban in Punjab.

“Over the decades, similar attempts to narrowly redefine our identity have been made," it said. "None have fully succeeded because, inevitably, we show our true stripes: diverse, tolerant and defiantly joyous. This is reflected in our shared kinetic energy, whether through the boisterous bhangra, the elegant Kathak or the transcendental Sufi raqs.”

What a shitty style of reporting....they should use a reporter who has passed grade 5 at least. We don't have regional assemblies. We have provinces and those have names... but as I said when they use idiots from the nation of criminals and low-IQed crooks for reporting and publishing the news.

Imagine my shock

Yes true , infact these things are very common at university level too where even department heads engage in such activities. I have lots of elder cousins who studied from some famous pak unis and would share such stories from there. And there was one person a cousin shared he was a department head at one the colleages at punjab university lahore and had been harassing woman for years. He had a terrible reputation and perhaps complaints about him had gone to superiors but he was protected. Now we are talking about a department head of one the faculties of one the biggest university of pakistan.

Like he would ask young female students to come to department during evening hours when department was empty. This is that guys news
https://tribune.com.pk/story/198853/pu-scandal-inquiry-committee-finds-prof-baloch-guilty-again/

Anyways, then he allegedly tried dragging some student or junior prifessor to the room next to his office and from there scandal got famous . Then my cousins had shared about other departments names too whose heads were also into u know...going after female students and stuff.

I'm not surprised. Every segment of our society is corrupt.

What we need is a online movement that spreads awareness of these kinds of issues and exposes such people and those who conceal them.
yes precisely which is why reporting rarely happens. But i feel in some cases victims have to come out else just from online reporting it doesnt work. But thats still a step ahead.

Wtf, that's like the ugliest song I ever heard.

And the video itself is just openly slut-promoting. Any man who allows his women folk to listen to this trash is truly a beghairat.
Yes its a very disgusting song and indians have been making such vulgar lyrics vulgar video slutty songs and sadly now our pakistani movie industry has been copying these trends
This director always copies bollywood style film making even the language in his films sounds indianish and this is a disgusting item song he added to a pakistani film

Also just like that item song u had seen shared in psychics video irecall iwas reading some dawn newspaper or i dont know which newspaper (pakistani newspapers specially dawn report a lot on bollywood dont know why) so there is some Indian actress shabbana azmi who was commenting that some lines form item somgs could be very sexist and then she mentioned this line it was a line from some kareenas item song and it went like

"Main to tanduri main to tanduri murgi hoon yaar
Gatkale saiyan alcohol se oh yeah"

So that actress was like this is objectifying and insulting women by comapring her with a tandoori chicken etc etc.

Then i actually saw a minute or two long video of the actress who danced on this song her name is kareena , and kareena went on to say oh my god my favorite line from song is "Main to tanduri main to tanduri murgi hoon yaar
Gatkale saiyan alcohol se oh yeah." that is the same line that another senior actress found super sexist. Now this is how indians are treating female gender and this is what pakistanis are copying by making songs billi and what not shytt.

It's the same trash everywhere now.

The growing number of cuckbois is worrisome. He's not the only one, this thread is full of them. They're just clutching at straws and rebelling for the sake of it. But perhaps many of them would permit their adolescent daughters to be exposed in public of there wasn't the fear of backlash.
and their audacity to defend such stuff is surprising.
and the moment u ask them okay so when ur daughter sister will want to do the same when thye grow up u will be fine, then thye will throw a hissy fit and cry out like a banshee.
By gradually releasing this poison into the minds of the public they are slowly desensitizing them for the much bigger fish.

The video of kids dancing i had two months back opened a thread on it. And some people still came to defend it and its the same ppl u can see in this thread.

Also , i had only watched few seconds of some of the dance videos done on this **** morning show host sahir lodhi and found them terrible and shut them down, but the video psychic has shared has left me so shocked the dances including the outfits are so inappropriate that icant believe these media people and kdis parents cud go so far i mean i am shocked at such clothes and dances.

And while watching the video i was focussing on the show host sahir and the judges expressions sitting in the background and man its sick these men in judges team acted like paedophiles the way they were looking at kids. Lemme add some gifs and stillshots of judges.

In the first pic just look at the kind of expressions on these two guys faces the one on second seat and one on fourth seat from left.

And this guy in hat that second from left has something really wrong in how he look at kids looking at him makes one feel uneasy. And in first and second images in both imges he is staring at same kid dancing in two different episodes.

Same guy in first pic second onleft with hat ,staring at same kid in weird way again

In this gif now notice the same guy who was seen staring weirdly at kids in previous images, he was so staring at them in some strange manner that even the show host sahir lodhi came over to judges and shakes this guy by shoulders and then this guy reacts with raising arms ,just see in the gif

I dont know whats up these kids parents but they are definitely not exposed to right people just the male judges both of them give perverts expressions.
