Punjab a hot bed for kidnappers

Punjab recorded the highest number of kidnapping for ransom cases registered over the past one year among all provinces and territories, according to information shared by the Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to the National Assembly on Wednesday.

Punjab was followed by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh, while Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir ranked at the bottom.

Except for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, all provinces and territories had a higher number of persons recovered than the number of cases registered, reflecting the resolution of cases from previous years.
