PTI’s latest plans will die a natural death: PM

Ill advised? If so all IK's moves are ill advised. His dharna, his jalsa, his petitions in the tribunals, courts and so on. IK is all wrong :D

you said it right bro!

i don't know why you support anarchy in pak.

Simple fact is that Pakistanis in general are allergic to industrial action and its perceived negatively. Which is not necessarily the right perception.

I think IK is not here for Pakistan. I think there is a Pashtunistan in makings here. IK will be the PM for that as it'll be ethnic based. This is what it might turn out to be if this genius doesn't stop his violent and threat based politics.
Yes, SMQ, Asad Umar, Arif Alvi, Abrar-ul-Haq and other seniors in PTI are indeed pashtuns. LOL :D

You are right about the Civil War possibility....IK needs to realize that so far, others have been quiet as they want the system to run. But if you force them out when they have millions of more voters behind them; what will stop them from bringing their vote bank to streets? Nothing!! If IK destroys the system through a minority of voters trying to overrule the majority through violent tactics, others will bring people on streets and the Civil War will break out.
If that's true, what's stopping Noon League from bringing its voters to streets for the past months as this dharna has been going? Where are crores of Noon League voters? Where do they live but in fake ballot boxes? :D

This trend would be like the creation of Taliban (here, violent voters so to speak). These violent based politics will hunt the Pakistani political system for many years to come (if not immediately stopped), and this could result in a Civil War, resulting in an ethnic breakup of Pakistan into a few pieces. Someone needs to stop this nonsense before everyone starts to bring their voters to streets to win "their power and land".
IK support base is not ethnic. How many pashtuns live in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha, Sahiwal and all other places where he managed to gather lakhs of people in rallies? :D

You have anarchy when your elections are repeatedly rigged. It happened in 1977 and a party took stand. Government refused to accommodate opposition, hence the martial law. Its old repeating.

LAHORE / ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday advised Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to abandon its campaign of sit-ins and invited it to the negotiating table following the rejection of this brand of politics by an overwhelming majority of Pakistanis.

The remarks came during a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

According to sources, PM Nawaz said Imran’s party will have “to give up the dharna (sit-in) on the roads and come and sit across the negotiating table”.

The container group’s plan C and plan D will also fail like A and B and die their own death,” the PM said during a discussion on the national political situation with his younger brother at their Jati Umra residence in Raiwind.

He claimed that some elements were hatching conspiracies against the elected government. But he said forces working on an anti- democracy and anti-constitution agenda have been exposed before the people, according to sources.

If PTI supporters are so concerned about the plight of the masses, they should raise these issues in parliament, the prime minister said.

During the meeting, issues relating to national politics, economy, PTI agitation and its impact, development schemes in Punjab and other matters of importance were discussed.

The Punjab chief minister said that the provincial government has eased the conditions for acquiring loans under the self-employment scheme and extended the last date for applications.

PM Nawaz lauding the Punjab government schemes said that provincial government should facilitate the masses with regard to a record cut in fuel prices.

According to a news channel, the premier and Punjab CM also decided to resume talks with PTI. Shahbaz Sharif said that agitations and sit-ins will have to end and the protesting parties will have to come to the negotiating table. “The country cannot bear any more agitation and confrontation,” he said.

Call of concern

“How can we resume talks in this aggressive environment?” asked Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pervaiz Rashid soon after the PTI chairman threatened to shut down all major cities if the government does not resolve the issue of polls fraud.

“Dialogue could not be resumed until [PTI chairman] Khan sahib gives up his anti-state conspiracy,” said the information minister.

“If PTI’s top leadership is really sincere about restarting negotiations, then first they will have to sit down in parliament,” he added.

“Imran Khan has consumed all options he is looking for a safe exit now,” he told The Express Tribune. Before coming to ‘Plan C’, the PTI should have to tell the people that ‘Plan A and B’ have been completely failed, argued the minister.

“How can the government allow Imran to shut down businesses in the major cities as the PTI has already paralysed business activities in Pakistan?” questioned the information minister. We cannot dictate the courts hearing PTI’s petition seeking probe into election fraud, he explained.

Judicial commission

Interestingly, SAFRON Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch told the media that the government was considering writing to the Supreme Court about forming a judicial commission. As the proposed judicial commission probes the rigging charges, he voiced hope that the PTI would accept the judicial commission inquiry report and avoid humiliating the judiciary, he added.

They are afraid of army, not people.

Of course. When elections are rigged and no impartial investigation takes place to catch the culprits, only Pakistan and Pakistanis suffer :D. Why blame IK? Blame those who rigged the elections and stole people's mandate or prove otherwise that Noora indeed won with heavy mandate free and fair by opening only 4 constituencies! :D

:D

Let me burn your shop, and start blaming you for not having fire extinguisher.

Nation is suffering due to hungriness of these power hungery morons, like nawaz, like imran like army or any other, Not because of some corrupt setup. We have lots of examples, country can run under corruption, india, singapur, uk or other but cant with power strughle

Pakistani politics have a huge ethnic background. ANYONE can gather a few thousand people anywhere based on their ethnic make up. That's the main force behind IK and its unfortunately common in Pakistan. Country comes secondary from what I see in IK's politics.

You are right about the Civil War possibility....IK needs to realize that so far, others have been quiet as they want the system to run. By the way, through counts available on Security Scanner / Walk Through gates that EVERYONE goes through, there were 32,000 people. Not hundreds of thousands (or Lakhs as you refer to it). Its amazing how 32 K people look on TV and impress their believers!

I generally agree with your posts.

However on this one I disagree.

No one can deny the impact of anarchy on our political system and stability.

Remember, IK's support base is in Punjab. Hence the problem is not "pashtunistan" but rather "Punjabistan".

Thank you

Nation was suffering fine during pseudo democracies of Nawaz and Benazir in the 90's. It was also fine after Musharraf was removed. 5 years of Zardari brought us rivers of milk and honey. Only bad periods were dictatorships :D

Lets put some sense in the nonsense head of Nawaz Sharif. Talk. Thats the only way to deal with this sitaution.

Imran challenge is serious and is going to stay. He is not going anywhere. But Nawaz Sharif is going nowhere. If Nawaz understands the situation and make a commission with implementable recommendations (which he has not agreed so far) his politics might be saved. There is no harm in losing a govt that he got on a fake mandate.

In his election campaign and afterward, Nawaz was willing to talk to Taliban. He went several extra miles to talk to India. Why cant he talk to Imran and resolve this issue?

Talk? If he really wanted to talk, why did he ask COAS, a non-political entity to intervene in Pakistan's political impasse? :D

That's exactly the point! IK says he has understood that Noora's personal family fortunes are connected to the deals he has signed for Pakistan. All contracts are run by his own family setups locally and abroad. That's why he cannot call new elections. As a businessman, he will lose all his election money! :D

In his election campaign and afterward, Nawaz was willing to talk to Taliban. He went several extra miles to talk to India. Why cant he talk to Imran and resolve this issue?
Because talks with IK will end his illegitimate term, that's why!
