I like Shahbaz Sharif, and so does most of Punjab. His popularity is 57%, the highest in Pakistan. He got big gangsters killed in police encounters, raised literacy rate(Punjab being the only province which did so in past 5 years according to world bank) and made new jobs. Why would I support someone who was all so friendly with the likes of Hamid Gul back then, and openly supporting Taliban. Far right has no place in Pakistan.

Karachi has 20 seats for national assembly and out of 20 PPP hardly manages to get a couple. In 2008 PPP had three MNAs and in 2013 it managed to get only one MNA elected. The notion that Karachi votes for PPP is incorrect, more than 80% of the seats are won by MQM.

What they say is correct to some extent, they do get seats but not enough to form a government, for very reason they are always interested in local body elections.
