PTI to stay away from farewell luncheon for Zardari

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to stay away from a farewell luncheon to outgoing President Asif Ali Zaedari to be hosted by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

PTI leader Sheerin Mazari said that the decision was unanimously taken by the party.

Sources said that the prime minister has decided to invite provincial governors, chief ministers, chief of the army staff and the chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee to the farewell luncheon.

Not a wise move politically or morally, It's a farewell luncheon to The President of Pakistan not to a person in particular. Respect is for the Chair of the President not to Zardari.

Zardari is the elected President of Pakistan with vast majority..... PPPP is the largest party in 2008-9 election...

I tend to agree with you, however, one can reject to participate as a protest to his policies which damaged the the country.. a sign that he is not welcomed anymore. so its PTI's right to protest in whatever manner it suits them.

as for Nawaz, he has no choice but to give a farewell party and rearrange his terms with ppp, how to move along in the next 5 years through noorakushti !!
