Because if president asks Shahbaz sharif to take vote of confidence
Then if some parties or members of PDM decided to part their ways
He will need to show 172 votes.
There will be no 2nd round.

They can fill up those numbers by using 22 PTI dissident lotas

These 22 dissidents can form to parliamentary committee of PTI inside National assembly and can decide to vote for shahbaz shairf
Their vote will be counted.

But if PTI goes back with 100+ members then those 100+ will form the parliamentary committee of PTI and they'll decide to not vote
And their decision will be applicable to every PTI MNA including dissidents.
Now if dissidents decide to vote their vote won't be counted.

Same is case with PMLQ
They have 5 MNAs
3 are with PTI (monnis, hussain, female)
2 are with PDM.
Now whatever will be the decision of 3 with PTI will be applicable to all 5 MNAs of PMLQ.

Moreover PTI will appoint their own opposition leader
Which is nedded after dissolution of assembly to form interim government
