Enough with this... I won't say that local bodies election were completely fair bcz in local bodies election there is always an element of rigging. However I also believe that rigging is not specific to N... I sm sure that some pti candidates and other party and independent candidates must have partook as well. This is due to the nature of the local bodies election.
I personally believe that compared to a previous local body election ( 7 or 8 years ago) this one was fairer ....

As for NA 122 that was not rigged. Imran just couldn't digest a loss over there again and couldn't digest losing by 2500 votes... However this loss made hok somehow come under the dillusion that he is an equal party to N in Punjab and thus he was expecting much more than 10 percent seats, which is a very good and predictable result considering that's about the same number of NA and PP seats in Punjab.

This rigging mantra is damaging and Imran should just now let it go. The local bodies are not worth losing the 2018 election. He shouldn't follow them and focus on his salvation which is the kpk province. It has seen some good change but the seems developments still need to be done for him to complete his dominance over the province... Imran should now focus on kpk completely... There is still time.. Over 2 years a lot of developments and improvements in the infrastructure can be dome... The promise of Peshawar transits need to be fulfilled now. He has developed a good amount in unseen .. Its time for seen.

That's imrans ticket to salvation. Not this rigging mantra bcz people are getting tired.

I hope this dispute ends as it has the tendency to get far more ugly. A PMLN man was killed today and a few days ago PTI people. So its clear that there is the temdency to use violence by rogue elements within each party though the biggest sponsor of violence in Punjab is minister Rana Sanullah the law minister.

Boycotting elections are not a solution. PTI is new in this game, so they need experience. They more they will participate in elections, the more experience they will gain.

Anyways, I agree with your other point. PTI has to push for electoral reforms, and the time is now. With only two or so years to go into next elections, they will have to start pushing for it now to get it implemented, tried and tested before next elections.

LAHORE: Disgruntled Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Abid Sher Ali has termed defeat of his candidates in local government elections as ‘systematic rigging’, ARY News reported.


He accused the election staff of manipulating votes against his nominated candidates in Faisalabad.


Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan has summoned written statement from Abid Sher Ali and his father Chaudhary Sher Ali. Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Srdar Muhammad Raza heard the case.


Speaking to media after the hearding, Abid Sher Ali said he had not violated any election rule. He claimed that his candidates were deceitfully given defeat during recounting at 3am after the polling ended.


I reserve the right to contest my case legally, he added.
