It is a proud moment for India that Delhi, its national capital, managed to beat top cities in countries like China, US, UK with world's most CCTV cameras in public places.
In a big development, it was revealed that this Indian city has beaten top cities in China, the US and the UK, cities like Shanghai, New York and London, to become world's No. 1. Delhi is now the city with world's most CCTV cameras in public places. The revelation was made by none other than Aam Aadmi Party co-founder and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He indicated that it was reported that Delhi had beaten all the top world cities in terms of most number of CCTV cameras installed per square mile. In fact, India was far ahead of as many as seven cities in China - Shenzhen, Wuxi, Qingdao, Shanghai, Changsha, Wuhan and Xiamen.

CM Kejriwal congratulated the officers and engineers concerned for achieving this milestone. "Feel proud to say that Delhi beats cities like Shanghai, NY (New York), London with most CCTV cameras per sq mile. Delhi has 1826 cameras, London has 1138 cameras per sq mile. My compliments to our officers and engineers who worked in mission mode n achieved it in such a short time."

The report that Kejriwal had cited while saying Delhi has become world's No 1 city was by Forbes India. The report was actually on the most-surveilled cities of the world.

.
I hope these cameras help to reduce crimes as well so that their purpose is fulfilled.

.
Most of them were installed for traffic purposes.
Delhi is well known for its strict traffic regulations and heavy fines.

It's Kejriwal's strategy to provide free of cost electricity and make the same money via traffic fines.

He was branded as some superman because he’s from IIT, after 5 years I realised that no matter how educated you are, if you are stupid then your state will also look stupid, Sheila Dixit’s socialism was still better than this Kejri. For past 20 years Delhi looks the same and unless we get BJP government in Delhi, we can’t develop Delhi and will become another Kerala or Bengal.

He is immature, hope he grows with time.

Biggest weakness being doing something without systematic thinking or long term planning.
Best example I can give is how he called Singapore variant, when Singaporean media was talking about Delta variant:

Most of his decisions involve doing something today, overturning it tomorrow. It feels like being a part of a Hollywood movie under his rule in Delhi. Too much drama and too less results.

Once he develops systematic thinking, he may become far better.

Most of them are false reported rape cases:

53.2% reported rapes in Delhi were found to be false.

I guess women in India have learned from some minority groups on how to play the victim card, despite being the aggressor.

.
Pakistani cities across the board need these CCTV x24 monitoring

.
So India excused legitimate rapes as fake? Make sure that information is given to any women applying for Indian visa. Disgusting…
No, 52.3% Delhi women file false rape cases to harass men they hate or due to some personal conflict.

.
.
So those cameras mostly see people shitting in open??

.
Even if you consider those additional 47% fake cases as legitimate.
Indian prison population will still be far lower than China.

There is no competition on rape, crime, etc.

Indian criminal justices system disregard crimes Perpetrated by higher caste against lower castes. This include higher castes men can assault lower caste women with impunity. Disgusting. The prison system in India are only for crimes committed by lower caste against high caste.
