What about 18 Mirage-2000-5

As far as I know J-10 C is pretty much done deal. Only question in my mind is whether we would stop at J-10 C and BLOCK III or we may try go for some other 4.5th Generation also

We should go for J-16 rather then J-10C.
We had talked extensively about getting Mirage from UAE or France and i know that didn't happen.

We should go for J-16 rather then J-10C.

In technology, J-16 should be the best choice of PAF. There are different versions of J-16, which can meet all requirements of PAF and PN.

But, in reality, China has to consider the relationship with Russia, and J-16 can't be exported.

3) The electronic-warfare version of J-16: J-16D

But Russia can get nothing from the J-16 deal, including engines and ammunition, and it will be really a bad news to Russian Su-30's export.

Pakistan trapped the US into the russian afghan war---.

Finally, one soul on PDF who has stated history and geopolitics of that time accurately. Almost all here think that it was Americas war, only a few here know that it was our war long before we pulled the yanks in. The Americans were not too enthusiastic to jump into another proxy war with the Soviets after what happened to them in Vietnam. It took a lot of convincing to pull them in.

The way out is that PAF leases J 16 .
That way it does not effect Russian relations with either China or Pakistan.
All that is needed is good deplomocy on part of China and with the eco power of China, Russia can seldom refuse.

We are barely keeping up with thunders..
Nothing is going to come as first pirority if additional money comes will be to update the current fleet...

I have posted last month about this. Its in the contract that the Chinese can not export any Flanker variants to other countries so its off the table. No point trying to keep bringing it up.
