Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif pays significant visits to China and Iran this month.

Briefing newsmen in Islamabad Thursday, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said the prime minister will attend the Forum for Asia Annual Conference to be held in Boao in the Chinese province of Hainan from Tuesday next [8 April].

She said dates and agenda of the prime minister's visit to Iran are being finalized.

To a question, she said small incidents cannot harm Pakistan-Iran historic and multifaceted relation.

Referring to the remarks of Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, the spokesperson said Pakistan believes in harmony among Ummah and maintains a balance in its relations with all Muslim states.

To another question, she said Pakistan fully supports transition and democratic process in Afghanistan.

She said security will be beefed up on the borders with Afghanistan on the day of presidential elections in Afghanistan. However, peaceful election is the responsibility of Afghan security forces supported by ISAF.

Regarding US drone strikes, Tasnim Aslam said larger recognition of Pakistan's stance on the issue prevails among international community. She said only six countries abstained from voting on Pakistan's resolution on drones in the United Nations.

About Indian elections, she said it is the democratic right of the Indian people to elect their next prime minister.
