Article 48(1) of the Constitution's proviso is self-evident and binding.
The President broke his oath by behaving partisan and broke the law by rejecting re-tendered advice, demonstrating that he is unfit for high office.
Cabinet Division Notification obligates sanctity viz Article 150.

It does not hold any merit or value. It's just a piece of paper.

Only President can appoint or fire governor.

If PDM imported government has any problems then impeach the president first via assemblies

The fiasco over the past few weeks has made one thing really evident, our constitution has a million loopholes and definitely needs to be revampled wholesale.

Or perhaps the articles are deliberately left vague so that anyone can use them as they please?

In this specific case, the President is bound by the advice of the PM when appointing a 'new' governor, but the existing governor works at the pleasure of the President.

This, on face value, means that the President can only remove the governor.

I am not a lawyer though, and would be interesting to get an unbiased legal opinion here.
You can thank that evil genius Bhutto

Article 48(1) does not apply where PM can not advise president. According to article 101(3), governor stays on confidence of president

.
According to Article 48 of the Constitution, implementation of the advice of the Prime Minister is binding on president, he can return once but not for the second time. But if the dentist thinks that he is a worker instead of a president and wants to give a toothless answer, then he has to deal with article 6.

Lol. President has immunity from courts

Although the decision to not approve the denotification by the President seem unethical and not constitutional but it seems criminally unfair that a party with just 84 seats are ruling the Government and the party with 150 seats are overthrown. The end to this tussle is just elections… nothing more or less

Take the government of India act 1935, replace the crown with the President in some places and the Prime Minister and his cabinet in others. Then add in a tarka of Islam and federalism.

Congratulations you have the constitution of Pakistan.

by this rule Punjab should be given to PMLN. PMLN has most seats in Punjab than any other party.

Again, not a lawyer, but from what little I have understood, the President is bound to go with the advice of the new PM in case of a new Governor, but an existing Governor serves at the pleasure of the President. Would be happy to be proven wrong though.

As for the rest of your comment, completely agree. You cannot have selective ethics in this whole fiasco. You cannot have CM elections from the gallery, you cannot have 25 people disqualified but still be in government, you cannot have so many things.

Democracy in this country is a sham.
