To gain pure muscle, you need a good source of protien, for which the best source is meat. Chicken breast is quite a common one.

I would suggest that you try putting on lean mass. But gaining lean muscle is a time consuming process, you have to eat well, train hard and rest well. I believe that in year you can put on roughly 5kg of muscle, depending on various factors.

. .
Some easy tricks;

1. Eggs daily as part of your breakfast.
2. Definitely eat meat, especially chicken and fish. It doesn't have to be made into curry every day and eaten with roti and rice, have it grilled or bbq'd.
3. Drink milk, plenty of milk, have a glass with each meal.

Pre workout - get some protien shake, have it with milk maybe 30-60 minutes before you workout.

Post workout - just have something small, a bit of fruit or whatever, to give you a bit of an energy spike.

Some people will advice stop eating roti, rice etc. As long as you do some cardio exercise too, it is an important part of your diet, if you are under weight you need to put on mass, you need to have enough calories to do that, but you must be careful, because too many carbs or fats are turned into fat by the body rather than muscle.

If you want to have a pelwani diet, you need to have a pelwani lifestyle too.

anyone else?
Assuming you have no medical issues and your a young man the solution is simple. To gain weight to you need to eat more and burn less. Meaning the aggregate of calories your having in a day must be in excess of what you are burning. so for instance -

4000 calories eaten
2200 calories burnt

Means you have 1800 calories surplus. You will begin to gain weight if you repeat this everyday. Now the problem is you don't want to gain fat as weight. Preferably you want muscle. So to gain muscle try to eat protien rich foods. Meat, eggs, fish, chicken, pulses and less fatty foods. On top of this do some weight lifting and you will be on a roll. I would also suggest you drink protien supplements to give yourself boost. These can have far more protien then meat or chicken. For instance I sometimes drink protien shake which has nearly 30mgs of protien in 100mgs.
