(possibly Syrian air force) MiG-29 fighter jet destroys TB2 drones west of Sirte using R-77 BVR

.
you see I don't believe it needs to be intercepted fast , you have radars that see it fromfar away , you can plan before hand what to do with it and don't forget they usually fly at lower than 200km /h it means you probably have 1-2 hours to decide what to do with it before it come near something worth bombing.unless your adversary don't care if he bombs a power-planet or Bedouin tent
We are not in a war, we only destroy aircraft that violate our borders, in that sense we only have a few minutes of a reaction time, not 2 hours.

The flight time between Damascus and the Israeli border is mere minutes, and we are not going to scramble jets for every drone that takes out of Syria and stays in Syrian borders.

. .
So Syrian Af that cannot defend its own airspace against Turkish and Israeli AF has somehow deployed to Libya?
And they have sneaker wearing pilots...

There is no F-16 in Libya. Drones have no air to air capability and cannot defend themselves from fighter jets.

only Turkish and Israeli Airforces have large scale operation capability in the region
Egyptian Airforce is joke

-- Air refueling Aircrafts
-- AEWCs
-- around 200 well equipped Fighter Jets with night strike capability
-- Long range land attack Cruise Missiles
-- BVR air to air missiles
-- Network centric Warfare and Cooperative engagement capabilities

Turkish Airforce easly can destroy 14 MIG-29 and SU-24s also Airbases which hosts MIG-29 and SU-24s in Libya

Turkish Airforce 11 F-16s , 1 E-7T AEWC and 3 KC-135 air refueling Aircrafts were in Libya to warn everyone

how far damascus is from your border . let me tell you it's 317 km and if the drone cruise at 200km (which is probably less) those mere minutes will be more than 90 minutes. your pilots will have time to drink ,their cofee , breekfast and play some round of counter strike before they stroll to their jets

48 kilometers.
And Damascus was just an example, there are plenty of airbases closer to the border.
