Pop Music Scene in Pak in 80s-90s

It was really groundbreaking. I used to listen to Ali Haidar, Nazia Hassan, Nadeem Kazmi, Sajjad Ali, Strings and so many great Pak bands on my cheap T-series walkman. Reason? Because as a teenager I could identify with that music and mood quite well. There was no substitute in India. After some years Alisha Chenoy and a few emerged - but nowhere close. Why has the pop scene almost died down now?

No we still have plenty of them Jal, Fusion, Falak, Roxen, Soch, Noori, Kaavish, Fraz, Ali khan, Bilal khan ..its more mature singing now. I personally like kaavish you find peace in their songs
