This must be the 1st time I have doctored a title.

The contents of the post below are heartbreaking. In the post below a lot of people have attempted to justify the option Islam gives men to take more than one wife. How can a woman not be expected to object. I read with horror of a poster in this thread below saying he would gladly give his sister /daughter to a man taking her as his 2nd wife provided he was a true follower of the faith.

Muslim women cannot object to husbands’ marriages: CII chief | Page 32

Here is an example on how a lady must feel, to kill those dearest to her must happen only when pushed beyond limits.

Rawalpindi - A 28-year-old beautician poisoned her husband and two children, including a 6-month-old daughter, to death apparently to bar her husband from getting married for the third time, police informed on Monday.

After killing here husband and two children, the woman also committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan, sources and police added. The sad incident took place here at street number 3, Chaklala Scheme-III, within the jurisdiction of police station Airport. The locals informed police which rushed to the crime scene and shifted the dead bodies to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Raja Bazaar, for autopsy. The deceased were identified as Shahida Bibi, Shahid Abbas, Adil Shahid and Arshia Fatima.

According to police, the woman poisoned her husband Shahid Abbas and two children Adil and Aresha. After ending their lives, the woman phoned Muhammad Bisharat, brother-in-law of her husband, and informed him that she had killed her husband and children and was going to commit suicide. “You come to our home and take the dead bodies in your custody,” police quoted the woman as telling to her husband’s brother-in-law. Then the woman, who ran a beauty parlour, hanged herself with a ceiling fan and died, police said. Police reached the house on phone call of Bisharat, recovered dead bodies and shifted them to DHQ. It was second marriage of both Shahida and Shahid.

The doctors took samples from the stomachs of the deceased and dispatched them to Lahore for laboratory examinations, police said and added that final report would be prepared after laboratory tests report. Talking to media persons, Faizan Abbas, brother of deceased Shahid Abbas, said that his brother married Shahida Bibi two years back. “It was second marriage of both Abbas and Shahida. Shahida had 6-year-old son from her first husband,” he said. They were living at a one-room rented house at Dhok Chaudhrian, Scheme-III. He said that Abbas had no children from his first wife and that was why he married Shahida. He would work as daily wager and belonged to Gujar Khan basically, he informed.

Station House Officer (SHO) Wasim Faraz, however when approached, said that police recovered the dead bodies after breaking the main door of the house. “The police team knocked at the door several times and finally broke it after getting no response from inside,” he added. He said when police entered the house they found the children and Shahid Abbas lying on a bed. Shahida’s body was hanging with the ceiling fan, he added.

He said the woman made a call to Bisharat at around 4:30am that she had killed Abbas and both children and was committing suicide. She also asked him to come to their home in the morning to pick their dead bodies. He said legs of Abbas and his children were tied with a rope while the woman’s dead body was hanging with the ceiling fan. “Initially, we were of the view that they have been poisoned to death, as we didn’t find any weapon there. We have collected the dishes, fruits and other food items and sent them to laboratory for examination,” he said. He said there were no signs of torture on bodies of Abbas and his children.

Castrating the man would've been a better idea !

How is it that the State is still allowing Polygamy when Iqbal clearly pointed out that if the State feels that its been misused they can abolish it ! :hitwall:

Polygamy has no place in today's society

Seriously? The question is about effects of polygamy. Not general suicide. And thanks for starting the troll fest. @Horus @Jungibaaz
