Why would a Sunni state arm the murderer of Sunnis? :rolleyes1:

Not going to happen guys. More likely a new synagogue in swat valley than planes sold to the butcher of Syria.

Im a pakistani Muslim and i hate people who say im a sunni im a shia.
**** both who say im a shia or im a sunni both are non Muslims for saying this.

On topic though, only handing syrians JF-17 wont be enough. Syrians need quality training. These best soliders and pilot training they have is from russia, and we all know how lacking the russian Pilots are when it comes to Air Warfare.

If Pakistan decides to sell syria the Jf-17 which i doubt is possible in the first place, we would need to bring their pilot training and over air battle skills up a notch. After all Israeli they would be trying to stop Israeli Air Force best in the world with best inventory of weapons in the world they can't do it without help
Even with our help syrians alone have no chance.

Also this would mean we would be viewed as a threat to Israel just like iran is viewed.

Knowing the volatility of that region it would be best not to Add fuel to the fire.

After all if we can't improve the relations with Israel the least we can do is not turn them into Direct enemies. The proxy and shadow war is okay as it has been going on for past 80 years.

I voted yes however since jf 17 needs contracts. But syrians have russia. And russia can give them aircraft like mig 35 or su 30 so ... Unless syrians need low weight class fighter with minimum rcs there is no use.

They don't need a long range plane. Just enough to deter Israel planes incursion. Also, something not expensive to operate, not like MiG-29 which is F-16 size and expensive to operate. 2 squadrons of JF-17 Block 3 equipped with AESA and RD-33MK or WS-13 should do. What do you think?
Syrian pilots are crap.
They will get shit down
People will think its a poor aircraft

Sell it if we man it

So my fellow countrymen are actually deliberating on the hypothetical question of selling JF-17 to Syria and the reason given is for it to somehow deter Israeli Air strikes. With F-35's now available to IsAF, on top of their EW and AEW&CS systems, are you guys just being funny in your deliberation of JF's posing any threat to IsAF????

its not about sunni or shia its all about business.. there is nothing wrong selling it to Iran if they are intrested... even if india wants we will consider it :yay:. since they been working on one craft since i was born.

.
by all means go for it, they can buy it from China if we r too scared pussies as always...but this sale will battle test JF17s in both extensive A to G and A to A warfare regardless of results user feedback will help us strengthen this fighter for our preparations against India....Israel herself trains Indians and had even helped them in 65, 71 wars and in 99 conflict....So why not help Syrians and Iranis even?

Remember! the more Israel remains engaged within its region the better for us regardless of results!

SAA was decimated. He didn't care about them. He gave the best jobs to the Alawites, like torturing Sunnis.

As if Pakistan would sell planes to this butcher. You guys haven't got a clue about politics. :omghaha:

If JFT can be sold to Burma then its also possible to sell it to Syria if no issue in selling weapons by UN.

this is different
there is civil war happening there and a country like Pakistan cant afford to anger the Arab monarchies specially when already it has hostilities on either sides of the borders and new wave of terrorist attacks

Pakistan dont sell JFT where it will hurt its interest, so China can do that if they think its in their interest and no one can put fingers on Pakistan, same as JFT sale to Burma.

50 Syrian pilots were trained on the SU-35 for 4 years, they have finished training recently.. So this Question seem displaced and a bit provocative.. it is like why don't you sell this JF-17 block III to Syria to face the Usraeli F-35, F-15 and F-16.. the question look dubious..

.
The Syrians are partners with Russia, I don't think they need JF-17. Right now as the war hopefully winds down Syrians will be focusing on rebuilding the country.
