Just Put The Right Man On The Right Job And Give Him A Free Hand.I Know Many Good Officers In Punjab.The Thing Is Take Out The Trash i.e Kick Our Corrupt Officers and Policemen Recruit New Ones Through Open And Transparent Procedure and Give The IG A Free Hand To Hire and Fire Promote Demote and Transfer.Plus After Every 6 Months Or Year Evaluate Him According To KPIs Set Out In Advance.

The Problems Start When Police Catch A Culprit Phones Start Ringing From Local MPAs and MNAs To Release Them.The Self Styled Khadim e Ala Is The Main Root of The Problem.Musharraf Made A New Police Order in 2006.While It Was Not Without Issues It Was A Massive Improvement But The So Called Champion Of Democracy Scrapped It And Brought Back To The Old Police Act Which Was A Horid Legacy Of The Colonial Era And No Way Fit For An Independent Democratic Society.
